One wonders how many states would change 'color' if the 17th Amendment were repealed...
The other 49 wouldn't turn against Texas. Many would, but many wouldn't. State by stae, it would probably be pretty close to a 50/50 split. Texas secession would be the first crack in the union, but certainly not the last.
That's why if this idea ever starts to seriously materialize, the federal government will move to put it down with extreme force. Organizers will be executed for sedition, supporters will be imprisoned. It would be all-out war.
The idea of a peaceful secession is a pipe dream. If you want Texas back, you're going to have to take it back from the biggest superpower on earth.

In 2010, just get two friends or acquaintances who normally don't vote. Get them to the polls with one idea in mind:
"Vote for the new guy, not the incumbent."
If we do that, we have replaced the Entire House of Representatives and 1/3 of the Senate -- which means, since they are controlled by Dems, we have regained the House for the GOP and put the fear of God in the Senate.
No muss, no fuss, no revolution.

I’ve been saying the same thing for the better part of 4or 5 years now. If there were a leader that could galvanize and articulate the vision of a DIFFERENT path, he would have followers by the tens/hundreds of thousands. One man marching to go eye to eye with the beast and say, “NO MORE” would be devoured. But one man who could articulate WHY we say NO MORE and also willing to march would find his back covered by scores of like-minded patriots.

And for your information, in order for you to restore the American government you must first fight against it. What we have now is not the traditional American government. It has morphed into a Frankenstein monster of a government.
Furthermore, for my friends and family, if worst comes to worst, that will be the flag we fight under along with our own Texas flag.
I dont think peacefully is doable at this late date...but the old 'escape from NY' scenario could be a solution...

Agree with both. I have posted the “time for a divorce” decree several times, since, I have nothing in common with liberals/progressives or whatever you want to label these humanoids lacking a sense of right and wrong. A peaceful separation is in order, and if not, maybe one not so peaceful is an option too.
I agree totally. I have warned others but it seem to fall on deaf ears.
I will become active when others finally wake up and take action. I am not going to take action on my own for the simple reason that 99.99% of those that are out there will watch to see what happens to me and then “maybe” they might get involved.

When the president of the US signs into effect “Executive Orders” he is usurping the Constitution. How many “Executive Orders” has Obama signed so far? How many did Bill Clinton Sign? Even George Bush signed some.

I’d like to see the military rise up against the government and I’d be more then willing to support them like I do now. We took an oath to protect and defend the Constitution of the United States against enemies both foreign and domestic.\\\
