Obama junks global war on terror label

The Obama administration has junked the term global war on terror because it does not describe properly the nature of the terrorist threat to the US, according to Janet Napolitano, secretary for homeland security.
One of the reasons the nomenclature is not used is that war carries with it a relationship to nation states in conflict with each other and of course terrorism is not necessarily derived from the nation state relationship, she told the Financial Times. In some respects war is too limiting.
Ms Napolitanos comments were the clearest acknowledgement by an Obama official of a widely observed change in language. In March, the White House denied reports that an internal memo had been issued banning the term. But Mr Obama has studiously avoided the phrase, which officials see as legally troublesome and politically counterproductive.
Ms Napolitano, who arrived on Monday night in the UK, said she was hoping to learn from her British counterparts, and others, how to improve public resiliency to terrorist attacks. You have got to minimise risk and respond with resiliency there are lessons to be learned from other countries and the UK is one of them, she said.

Be best if she resigns now and withdraws to a desert hideaway or something.
No more war on poverty then?
The term GWOT (Global War on Terror) has been replaced the the following:
OCO: Overseas Contingency Operations.
Such crap
Yeah, and Dick Cheney is dangerous. /s
The Left wants to protect and preserve the term “war” for their purpose. “War” should never be used other than for the Leftist, Socialist/Democrat purpose of a “war”, or a “War-Room” to fight nasty old Republicans, or whatever they deem Conservative.
Any other use is inappropriate.
Wow! They seem to have given up on stopping terrorist attacks (oops..."man caused disasters") and turned to having us get used to being attacked.
New Enemy of POTUS, SCOTUS and Congress:
> there are lessons to be learned from other countries
How about leading for a change?
Deal with terrorists in the manner that our own people have indicated. We have very good analysts and operatives. Just listen to their non-PC words for a change.
The 'troublesome' element here is that Obomba is in the White House and that Arizonans gave Janet a political profile that placed here in position for a central government job.
I wonder if she got some fish and chips in a London pub during her useless trip to the UK? Early this month Michelle Obomba took little Sasha and Malia to London to sample the British delicacy first hand. This was, of course another useless, but expensive, trip.
Oh, right. Go to England where they bend over for Muslim demands all around the country.
President Obama has renamed the Global War on Terror (GWoT) to Distracting Distraction that Distracts (DDtD). This is not the Global War on Terror your looking for, nothing to see here move along. Hey look, its A Unicorn!! See, no war, just unicorns and posies!! The Age Of Obama is here, all is well!!
:-)
What, bend over and grab our ankles, you Communist Bitch?
"Public resiliency" to terrorist means packing heat and doing unto them as they try to do unto us!
America! Wake Up! This administration has no intent to protect you from any enemy, foreign or domestic! It is all up to us.
So is the War on Poverty officially over?
From the White Hourse.... its now not ethical to be conducting war against our brothers now that we are the second largest muslim nation.
Therefore we have halted any aggressive actions that were aimed at any terrorist nations and we are now expanding the policies into economic expansion. We aim to aid those nations that are against Israel who continues to harbour and demonstrate racist and apartheid beliefs
