There is no indication that conservatives will even bother to vote in 2010; so I wouldn’t be surprised to see Democrats come out of 2010 with ten or more additional House seats and three or four senators. Certainly Blunt in MO is a sure loser, and that’s supposed to be a “bellwether” state. And even if Castle were to take liberal DE, what would we really have there?

The last president to have more than 60 of his own party in the Senate was LBJ (67), but whatever you might say about him, he was nothing more than a run-of-the-mill politician who really didn’t care so much to pervert democracy and become absolute dictator as he did to get into his secretary’s panties. Obama, however, is dedicated, and 60 Senate seats in his hands are a dangerous tool.
