To add to your grim, but accurate assessment: our immigration policies throughout the Clinton and W Bush years have cemented the US' future as a socialist country.
There is no indication that conservatives will even bother to vote in 2010; so I wouldn’t be surprised to see Democrats come out of 2010 with ten or more additional House seats and three or four senators. Certainly Blunt in MO is a sure loser, and that’s supposed to be a “bellwether” state. And even if Castle were to take liberal DE, what would we really have there?
