I can speculate as much as the rest. Probably some misguide utes with time on their hands looking to commit some mischief and a chuckle. Something that would get the attention of the adults in the area and appease their rebellious streak. Something to laugh about in the future, like when we TPd the coachs house in our youth.

I’m in a very liberal state, Vermont. Yet I have a large flagpole on the rise outside our house, with a 4ft x 6ft American flag on it, and most people seem to like the looks of it. I’ve never heard a complaint.
I think maybe it’s not just liberals, but young, rich, urban, privileged liberals, who are the worst offenders.
