On June 24, Iranian Superstar Andy Madadian went into an LA recording studio with Jon Bon Jovi, Richie Sambora and American record producers Don Was and John Shanks to record a musical message of worldwide solidarity with the people of Iran. This version of the old Ben E. King classic is not for sale - it was not meant to be on the Billboard charts or even manufactured as a CD.....it's intended to be downloaded and shared by the Iranian people...to give voice to the sentiment that all people of the world stand together....the handwritten Farsi sign in the video translates to "we are one". If you know someone in Iran - or someone who knows someone in Iran - please share this link: "Stand by Me"

Sorry, but I’m not using any bandwidth on anyone who admits to a man-crush on Obama.
Is it in support of Mahmoud Ahmadinejad supporters?
No
Maybe Jon didn’t get the memo from his party or his president: we don’t stand with anyone standing for freedom anymore. That ended when Worst President Ever left office. We’re doing the unconditional diplomacy with monsters thing now.
I applaud the his efforts, but does Bon Jovi 'get it'? I don't think he actually sees the discrepancy here.
It sure does appear that he doesn’t stand with B. Hussein on this issue.
Well. My stock in Bon Jovi just went up a notch. There’s still a huge segment of the population that is most misguided when it comes to all things Obama. But an effort like this, done (as far as I can see), to benefit the Iranian people, should be acknowledged and supported.
Twittered.
Thanks for the post.

Thanks Fars.
Me too. Hamed’s message is stronger, so I like it better.
Even though Bon Jovi stumbled on one word, I enjoyed his Farsi more than Andy’s. Funny, eh?
Actually, he didn’t stumble. He mispronounced.
Not yet. It will be fun to see his face when he gets it...
LOL, it sure will. I hope when (if?) he gets it, he really gets it. And hopefully he can make an impression on some of his fans who don't get it, either.
I agree. And I hope at some point Bon Jovi really gets it. See my #19.
