LOS ANGELES (Reuters) - Congressman Henry Waxman, the powerful chairman of the House of Representatives Energy and Commerce Committee, has been hospitalized in Los Angeles after fainting in his district office, a spokeswoman said on Wednesday.

It appears that Waxman has been in the hospital since yesterday. That is not what I would call just fainting. Full transparency needed on what is wrong with him and whether or not he is fit to serve.

I read on The Daily Kos,
Waxman suffered severe burns to his eyes from shampoo when his shower head timer turned off the water.
He then fell from his 5 gallon bath pail and cracked his skull. During the fall he knocked over a lamp which broke the fluorescent bulb releasing toxic mercury which he was inhaling for nearly an hour. Due to California budget impass an ambulance was unavailable.
His housekeeper found him and tried to rush him to the hospital but due to rolling brown outs, his electric car was undrivable.
