Can’t impugn integrity (stifling a laugh here) that the Post doesn’t have.
But they do have stones. Takes very big ones to say these things with a straight face.

Evidently some of these stupid staffers didn’t realize that this kind of thing has to be conducted “under the table.”
Issue a brochure selling access to power? You’ve got to be kidding.

I know I read an article/thread somewhere about “intimate dinners” already being held at some DC restaurant where all the biggie news media hobnob with administration folks for the same purpose as described here. (Please forgive my inability to provide links;brain freezes take a while to thaw. . .if ever. . .)

Got contact information for Helen? I think she and her friends might be up to asking for a couple of answers...I’d start with Kindergartens records... that would anwer a few questions.

I would think that WA Post Publisher Katharine Weymouth owes all of us Freepers an “I’m sorry” dinner in some well-appointed, relaxed setting.

Is there a law that’s been broken?
Who would investigate to see if others are doing similar? FBI? CONgress?
Would a FoI request get any e-mails from the WH to the Post?

How could this take place without the participation and advance knowledge of the White House?

“This should never have happened. The fliers got out and weren’t vetted,” Weymouth told her paper. “They didn’t represent at all what we were attempting to do.”

Here is another potentialmajor scandal that will probably just sink from sight over the 4thof July weekend, just as the Pelosi/CIA story sank over the Memorial Day weekend.
But there is a serious question: is it possible that Obama administration officials and Democratic legislators could NOT have known about the specifics of this arrangement? Is this not yet another example of the media cozying up to the Obama administration, at the home of the WaPost publisher, in a "non-confrontational" environment? Hannity and O'Reilly need to be all over this story.

“White House denies involvement” - well, that settles it, case closed. Let’s move on. This is just a distraction from the serious work that the president is trying to accomplish for the American people.
