If he was a rep, it would be in the headline.

The corruption in Birmingham rivals that of Chicago in the Capone era.
Back in the 80s, the daughter of Richard Arrington (Mayor), was busted red-handed with drugs. She resisted and pitched a fit. The cop who finally got the cuffs on her was told “I’ll have your badge.”
She did. She got her dad to force the Police chief to trump up charges against the cop.
He was elected to the city council and the county commission, but is not now in office, nor has he been for many years. So the headline is misleading, but Katapodis is just the latest in a line of crooked pols that have been convicted here in Jefferson County.
Now it is Mayor Langford’s turn, his trial begins on 31 Aug. His name was on some of the checks’ memo line... “TV for Langford”
