"FEAR" note from a police academy commander
"FEAR" note from a cop - (www.current.com) ^ | Scott Wagner

The fear on the street is palpable. Ever since the election of Barack Obama as President of these United States in November 2008, coupled with the election of a democrat party majority in both the U.S. House and Senate, concern for the United States and personal safety has ignited like a fire in dry grass.

...I foresee much civil disobedience coming down the road. Americans are citizens, and not subjects like the British, Canadians or Australians. They just don’t always obey the law blindly and not one officer or citizen that I spoke to said anything like “I hope I get to keep this gun for awhile before they are banned; They are fun to shoot, so I would hate to give it up.” It isn’t going to happen, so the cop on the street and the soldier on the base needs to think now what he will do if the orders come down. I think you all get what I am saying here.

Which leads me to the third fear, that there is a revolution coming, yes, a revolution on the scale of the original American Revolution. You can hear this topic discussed on many of the talk radio shows by even the big name hosts. The possibility of an armed revolution against the U.S. government being discussed, albeit very gingerly and fleetingly and as something to be avoided, which it is.

He's saying what thousands are thinking.

Is there more than is posted on that site, or can the author not count too well?

"Well in our discussions it seems to boil down to four areas."

"First, fear of federal government intrusion into our lives"

"the second, well-founded fear that there is an assault weapons ban looming"

"the third fear, that there is a revolution coming"

And that's all I see in the article. Am I missing an implied fourth area?

This appears to be a longer version of the same article by the same person:

Yes, they aren’t buying the guns so they will have them to help the government supress the rabble.

I think the fourth area is the fear of civil disobedience, which would be a major concern for a cop. He doesn’t list it as a separate fear, but does discuss it separately from the “third fear”, revolution.

This fear, or rather instinct, this feeling that trouble is here, hit me the evening of Nov.4th, 2008. Therefore my supplies were being stocked starting the morning of Nov.5th,2008. And I’m a girl, and more importantly a peaceful Christian. Commies don’t care if you’re a kid, a woman or a man. They seek to control or eliminate us as individuals. It is a war on The Individual and they want us to be controlled one at a time until all are in compliance.

Not gonna happen. Not in America. Live Free or Die has never meant so much to me. It has real meaning, not just as a historical phrase to trot out. It’s deadly serious.

George Washington “The thing that separates the American Christian from every other person on Earth is the fact that he would rather die on his feet, than live on his knees.”

Hey wouldn’t that be a good name for The Usurper, “General Societal Chaos”?, works for me. That is his goal after all, and he hates to “waste a good crisis”.

Maybe “General Chaos” would be good for short.

There is a further part of the article that didn't make it to the link:

It reads:

.....I never heard this mentioned in the 90s.

One of my quietest, low profile officer friends brought it up the other day. He said that at some point in the near future, he felt there is going to be an armed revolt if things keep going the way they are. Something has got to give. I was shocked. Yes, I had heard this from some of my more radical cop friends in the past, but to hear it from a guy like this was unprecedented. Now, these guys are not saying this will happen to foment revolution, preach sedition or to even participate. They just want to be ready if it happens, to at least defend their families, because number four on the fear list is general societal chaos.

Cops fear for their parents, wives, children or grandchildren more now than ever before. Most cops are encouraging their spouses and loved ones to get concealed carry permits. Not only that, but some of these same cops are buying gun mounts for their personal cars so they can carry an AR in the family ride at the ready all the time. They are also strapping on heavier forms of off-duty hardware. I have other friends that are issued ARs or subguns for tactical team use, who always have their gear with them and are planning on just commandeering these weapons for personal use in defending hearth and home.

Final Notes

This is pretty heady and maybe even dangerous stuff. Know fully that I am not advocating anything here. I am reflecting to you what I see and hear going on around me, and maybe saying things that haven't been said in the open, until now. It is something to think about.

He must be from the Midwest. Because if he said any of this on either the East or West Coasts, three things would happen to him. #1 he'd be vilified and called dangerous from the press. #2 He'd be called racist by any # of “community” organizers. And finally #3 He's be fired by the Mayor of what ever liberal city, he worked for. In these times, speak the truth from the right side of things and you become public enemy #1.

They should try to walk into a sporting goods store and try to buy more than one or two boxes of 45 acp or 9mm, then they will know it’s true.

The gun stores have marked up glocks, M&Ps and other high cap pistols around here because they know they can get it as well.

I want to buy 500 rounds of decent quality 45 ACP ball so I can start carrying my 1911 again. This is pretty much impossible unless you want to load your piece with wolf steel case ball or some questionable commercial reloads.

I havent been able to find a decent price on 38 special ammo either. I lucked onto 5 boxes of winchester 38 special wadcutters for my snubby at a yard sale of all places, so Im good to.

Theres gonna be a period of time down the road where we will have to take care of ourselves.

What I find interesting in all this is that regardless of how much people disliked Clinton, and how bad it got, there was never any fear, let alone fear of this magnitude, that the very nature of our country was being changed. And it has gotten this bad in a very short period of time.

Therefore my supplies were being stocked starting the morning of Nov.5th,2008.

Good for you! Make sure you include some backup up communications in your supplies. Even walkie-talkies like MURS units might make a world of difference between some close neighbors.

Happy 4th of July!

In 1770, there was about 2,200,000 folks living in the US (colonies) THese folks shared a lot of common values - Church, community, and so on.

Communications was by word of mouth, the odd letter and broadsides (look it up). No phones, etc, etc.

In the US today there are over 300 million, most (so far) speak a common language and share a least some common social values, albeit it would be hard to tell in some large cesspits that pass for cities.

My take is that riots, insurrection, cats and dogs living together, etc, etc is more likely from FedGov welfare (all types) checks that bounce that any type of ‘take back the Country’ movement.

We see a lot of “End of the World as We know it” blogs and web sites these days. The world as I knew it ended in 1968 when LBJ and the Dem controlled Congress passed the so called Great Society package.

This go around (ObamaCare, FedGov Nationalization of industry) is just finishing off a once-great country.

Yes, I vote, I push others to vote - get involved locally etc, etc. At some point you find yourself along for the ride, with little or no hope for even the smallest say or control.

The next few years will be interesting, to say the least.

In practical terms, there are traditionally 3 pillars supporting freedom in this country, the rule of law as embodied in the constitutional government, the free press, and the Second Amendment. The enemies of freedom now control the government and the press. What is left?

I do think that any revolution, peaceful or otherwise, should not be directed against the lawful authorities, but against the real enemy that empowers the socialist usurpers, the media-industrial complex and its characteristic internal culture.

This media-industrial complex, the “MSM,” is not the free press of the Founding Fathers. It is an unelected, unaccountable shadow government using its unchecked power to pursue a decadent and nihilistic cultural and political agenda that reflects the personal values of its membership.
Remember; Obama and ACORN would be ineffectual back-water radicals without the conscious, willfull, support of the establishment media, a support they have not bothered to conceal and that required the deliberate abrogation by the media of the values that define the free press.

Some here like to say that the MSM is the propaganda arm of the Democratic Party. It is really the other way ‘round: the “left” as we know it today is the political arm of the media culture.

It's not implied, it's stated:
