I have generally been inclined to view the McCain certificate that was posted as probably valid. One of the members here lives in Panama and had researched the birth issue before the certificate was posted and correctly identified the hospital in which he was born as being not only in Panama but outside the zone.

So I haven't looked too closely at the certificate itself for the reason that on its face it confirms facts already in the record.

On the other hand, I think you are entitled to great credit for your careful detailed analysis of the posted material with respect to Obama.

At the point where there is a public debate on the record, the initial and central point is that there is no shred of any official record which demonstrates that Obama was born in Hawaii or anywhere else in the US.

Against which there is a significant body of ancillary information tending to show that he was in fact born in the Coast Hospital outside of Mombasa in Kenya.

It would be good if you could get a look at the certificate that was offered on E-Bay. Gossip in DC is to the effect that the persons who were originally retained by an offshore party to look for evidence of birth in Kenya obtained more than one copy of evidentiary certificates regarding the actual record and that the source of the E-Bay document is either one of the extra copies or one of the copies that was originally to be delivered to the client.
