Agree, this is one of the best articles I’ve read about Israel’s options and capabilities.

I’m not sure it outlined all the obvious consequences though. Does anyone doubt that, in event of a first strike, all the Israeli leaders would branded war criminals and hauled to Europe for trial? The only thing that would prevent this might be strong support from the US, but again, does anyone believe this would be forthcoming?

I hope I’m wrong, so somebody please tell me so.

There was a joke based on exactly that but I can't remember it... Something about playing cowboys and muslims...

You speaking of using the MOAB on the whack job in charge and the mullahs? Because they will be well dispersed and may well be located in areas unsuitable for such an attack. Like hospitals and schools and deep, hardened bunkers the MOAB won't touch. Remember the MOAB is the largest non-nuclear explosive power available. Any uptick in power requires atoms splitting.

In this article, I see some commentary about USA/USSR cold war relations contributing to the MAD scenario being workable. But I see no references to how Russia and the hard line communist, Putin would react to an Israeli attack. A lot of Biblical scholars seem to indicate that Russia represents the GOG army of the book of Revelation. Putin might very well be the final commander of the GOG army.

The Russian response here might set up a Biblical prophesy in Ezekiel 38 & 39, wherein GOG (Russia) invades or massively attacks Israel. The fulfillment of the prophesy is that the Russian attack fails spectacularly and not one single Israeli casualty results. Not a hair is touched on the heads of the People of God. Further it is incontrovertible evidence that there has been a Divine intervention, no other explanation is possible and it sparks revival in Israel.

I know this article was a secular military and political analysis of the situation, but since Israel stands at the center of both Christian and Islamic end times prophesy, this is linkage is unavoidable. I'll bet the Ayatollah and the Mullahs are doing the same thing with their prophesies, as well. Another Biblical prophesy concerning this scenario is the one pertaining to Syria noted in Isaiah 17 concerning the utter destruction of Damascus. I think that a tight countdown to both is underway. The lighting of the fuse might very well be an Israeli attack on Iran.

The Atheists here on FR will no doubt jump in here but the nonreligious consequences outlined in this secular article are still potentially catastrophic and terrifying, all by themselves. My adding the Christian angle simply adds another dimension or layer to the overall scenario. That's all.

.......those whack jobs do come together for lots of events.

Only so long as they're not in fear for their lives. Once they are truly aware that Israel is going to pull the trigger on them personally, they'll stay dispersed and they know very well that the time for Israel to bide their time is almost done. Israel is on a much tighter timeline because of the urgency on the ever progressing Iranian nukes. If they come together it will be in areas not open to attack and with Iranian intelligence bird dogging the gathering to insure MOSSAD and the far less effective CIA don't have eyes into the event.

WELL PUT, imho.

And . . . the secularists . . .

as Scripture says . . .

“The fool has said in his heart, there is no God.”

I figure God knows em best.

I have such little and rapidly decreasing respect for such cluelessness . . . I don’t want to bother with them that much any more.

Anyone . . . who . . . on top of being blind about God . . . is blind about END TIMES scenarios and fulfilled prophecy

ON TOP OF being blind about globalism etc.

. . . well . . . their heads must be so deep in their respective dark places that their tonsils must be chatting with their appendix-es.

I see no reason to try and vainly interrupt those chats.

Right now with the political situation over there if the Iranians all got together their own people would also pose a huge threat.

A MOAB is not a deep penetrator.

Jericho III payload is 500kg.

A sufficiently serious ground penetrating weapon is probably 2200kg.

I have moved on to, above ground , with a massive EMP Bomb, which will maintain the integrity of structures and not cause excessive human casualty.
Like the Israeli did with demolishing the nuclear installation in Syria, first they have to blind their enemy.

Totally ridiculous speculation about something that will never happen. Israel can’t even build housing in sections of Jerusalem without getting heaped on by the world community, including the United States. And anyone thinks they’ll attack Iran? What an excellent justification that would give the world, to dismantle Israel, scatter its frightened population, and carpet it with welcoming rose petals for the muslims.

Shucks, even the Persian people hate their mullah's albeit not all. Have to impale the new Haman(s)[booooooo] on a stick.

Iran is a nemesis, no help from America on this as our government takeover has been a tragedy. Hope this ends with BIG explosions in Iran and no fallout. The hatred toward Israel and the increased anti-semitism is really a mess, BUT, "...if good men do nothing..."

We get blamed for everything anyway.

Might as well do something.
