Then it is obvious that reading comprehension was not your strong suit. Try reading what you write before you hit POST, especially if you think I have anything in common with the domestic enemy, Kos-kooks or DUmpster divers.

And to the post you decided to reply to....

Giving the Lt. Gov more legs to ‘prove’ himself for a run when her term expired is a “bankable strategy”. It would not have served the people of Alaska for her to remain in the office (even if for only the remainder of one term) and eventually step down later for a 2012 run. If she’d been elected for a second term as Governor, the LIEberal media would still be using their poor attempt to discredit her by “abandoning her office”. Nor do I think the RINO “quitter” label will stick.

Of course they will use the ‘experience’ angle once again since it only matters if a Republican is running. Experience certainly wasn’t a factor with sHillary or DUh-bama.

Sarah Palin is “stepping down” from Alaskan Governor to move on to a higher calling, thus driving the LIEberal (and RINO) media to be twisted in knots still trying to figure out a playbook to deal with it.

Actually, I think she would be a good voice in the Senate, and we need her Conservative vote there.

That being said, it’s a terrible place to run for the Presidency from. Senators don’t seem to do well in their runs for the Presidency, the most notable exception being John F. Kennedy. Even he was suspected of winning due to tampering with the vote.

If I am understanding what’s going on here correctly, part of the reason why Palin is stepping down, is that she will have more time to campaign for others and herself.

I doubt she would want to participate in another campaign for herself sooner than (for) 2012.

Very intersting. Rush would always chide Clinton and Obama for making news after 3:00 just after his show went off the air.

That's a different kind of news. News they want to hide from the public.

Palin obviously wants to rock the political world a bit, and this gives the weekend for a head of steam to build up.

DO, with the way O is trashing this country and the ideals it was founded on, Sarah will have no problem garnering support among independents and blue dog dems.

For the sake of conservatism, please look at the bigger picture.

That's why it's looking more and more like she's stepping off the world stage and into the family kitchen. Bless her.

You do realize that she said she is leaving government for "the moment", right?

I’ve never quite got a good handle on him, to be honest, but I’ll be glad if you’re right—he has seemed somewhat squishy when I’ve seen him on Fox.

"Also remember the votes of our Senators and Reps. and hold them accountable as well."

Indeed...they want to join the DUmocrats in voting, they must share their fate at the ballot box.

(was it ok with all of you FR’ers that have been here longer than me that I “bashed” Romeny ... can someone please tell me where I get the form to sign to be able to express my opinion to a more senior member?)

It's been my experience that 'tenure' means very little, as far as the content of a person's posts.

I have seen Newbies present very civil and logical debates on various subjects. I have seen long-term posters lose control and populate their prose with nothing but emotion.

It's really an 'individual' thing.

Amen. I think some of Sarah's previous (and hopefully future) supporters are shocked and disappointed at the moment. I hope that when/if we find that she intends to run for higher office they will return to her side.

NO just saying it made sense...what you were saying support Palin and coming from a large family. Wasn’t being sarc.

A person’s roots/experiences does make a difference in their belief system.

You must have meant to reply to #32, rather than #33 and hit my post by mistake?

I confess ... I too am guilty of drawing a comparison between Romney and a slick used-car salesman. But, in all fairness to Sarah Palin, I came to that conclusion well before her time on the scene. I made that opinion public while supporting Duncan Hunter during the RNC primary.
