Palin: 'I am not a quitter; I am a fighter'
CNN ^ | 2009-07-07

ANCHORAGE, Alaska (CNN) -- Sarah Palin's not a quitter, she wants the public to know.

"I am not a quitter. I am a fighter," Palin told CNN on Monday while on a family fishing trip, on the heels of her Friday bombshell announcement that she was resigning as Alaska's governor.

Palin did her interview standing on the shores of Dillingham, Alaska, wearing hip waders. She granted 10-minute interviews to CNN and three other news networks Monday.

She resigned because of the tremendous pressure, time and financial burden of a litany of ethics complaints in the past several months, she said. The complaints were without merit and took away from the job she wanted to do for Alaskans, Palin said.

The decision to resign a year and a half before her term ends, and her rambling, often-disjointed resignation speech Friday, fueled days of debate among political analysts.

Speculation has run rampant that Palin, the Republican vice presidential candidate in 2008, will seek the presidency in 2012.

When pressed about her future, Palin would say only that she would work in public service. She did not rule out a run for the White House or any other political office.

If there is any candidate who should be for tort reform and busting up media conglomerates it should be Palin

What, did the Democratic Underground run out of user names - and won’t let you post on their forum? Surely there’s a place for a liberal saboteur for you at Daily Kos or something?

Well, that part isn’t new. I’m old enough to remember hacks attacking politicians wives and kids for a long time now. As long as politicians keep putting the family out on the stage for all to see, some whackjob is going to make fun of their appearance. Liberals love to tear other people down - and we have some on our side who’ve been known to lob a few from time to time.

But I still think that in a year or two, we’ll all look back on this resignation as a brilliant political move. I trust Sarah’s instincts, and I know the conservative in her has not resigned.

Zion doesn’t have a king unless you are claiming to be GOD, in which case, get thee to thy meds quickly.

“and her rambling, often-disjointed resignation speech Friday, “

I heard it. Certainly not rambling or disjointed. It's amazing how much these people hate her. I had a liberal friend go off yesterday about how horrible she is. I asked why she was ‘horrible’, and how they could call a woman who is raising a Down’s child ‘horrible’. What I got back was essentially more hatred of her.

Go to DU or kos where your tripe fits in. In a couple years you can move to Cuba or Venuzuela where you’ll fit in with Pelosi and Obama. You can all live in exile there-!

Let me guess: You are one of those Mormon folk that doesn't believe a woman can lead, and who wants Mitt to be our king on Earth.

Not everyone will buy into that version of political "prophecy" - especially for a moral chameleon RINO.

Palin has accomplished more as governor in two and a half years than most governors get done in eight years.

She’s leaving because the fraudulent ethics complainers (leftists and other morons) can’t handle the fact that her very existence proves them to be idiots; her action will prevent them from continuing to suck dry funds which belong to the people of Alaska.

She’s leaving office because she can handle it.

Under a state ethics law [that Palin herself signed], it is very complex for a public official to set up a legal defense fund and raise money for it. But as a private citizen, [Palin] can get a multi-million dollar advance for a book or make a few lectures for big fees and retire the debt.”

After reading numerous Palin threads over the last 4 days, I suspect that a$$holerod has the a$$troturfers out again.

So many folks feigning upset that Palin is leaving office. Probably the same folks who file the ethics complaints when she tries to leave the state for a speech.

Its either A$$holerod or some combination of Huckster/Willard campaigns.
