Democrats, who dominated the 2006 and 2008 elections, are losing their edge in Ohio, a new poll shows.

President Barack Obama's approval rating in the Buckeye State - one of the key bellwethers for national politics - dropped to 49 percent, the lowest of any swing state, according to a poll released Tuesday by Quinnipiac University in Hamden, Conn.

Obama, who lost Ohio's Democratic primary to Hillary Rodham Clinton but topped Republican John McCain in November's general election, earned a 62 percent approval rating in the university's May survey.

In six months time President Mau Mau will look back at today’s approval rating as “the good old days”.

He is accomplishing the impossible.

Making Jimmy Carter look good by comparison.

ACORN is a problem, but now at least they know they are being looked at more closely and have been charged with wrong doing. This wasn’t happening the last go around.

Makes sense, tens of thousands of jobs have been lost in manufacturing since Obama has taken office and he hasn’t delivered. Not only are the people who held those jobs affected, large and small retailers who are dependent on those people to buy their goods are feeling the strain to. A depressed manufacturing sector hurts all sectors of the economy.

Doesn’t matter who’s looking at them! ACORN has been given unprecedented power and money by this administration and whatever they do is going to be just A-OK with the media and lawmakers.

One thing is clear: Americans now see this as Obama's economy. Porkulus is seen as a failure. And once the unemployment figures rise to double digits, he will start losing nationally in his personal approvals.

Obama is America's first black President and is tragically working on being the last. America will not elect another Avenger-In-Chief.

Just to reinforce my initial points:

Virginia Souring On Obama, Too

I'd like to see the number of terms limited to 1 term and no elected official being able to hold more than 1 public position at the same time. Power corrupts. Starve the special interests.

Kasich is running against Strickland. Portman is running for the open senate seat because Voinovich is retiring.

Congressional term limits are our only hope.

Hanging EVERY Demo and Repub is our only hope. We won't hang them until after we find every one of them guilty for TREASON. I wouldn't want you to think I'm an extremist.

Pity the voters of OH. They always seem to have a bad economy, and the people they elect never improve things.

Are Kasich and Portman tough enough for OH? I think they will be too timid and will fold Gingrich-like in the face of the Demos.
