Are the latest cyber-attacks directed against South Korea and the United States presumably from North Korea a major threat, or not? The Wall Street Journal touted them as among the broadest and longest-lasting assaults perpetrated on government and commercial Web sites in both countries. The New York Times was more dismissive:

The Future of Cyber-SecurityThe same as "medical privacy": Doesn't even pretend to protect you from the biggest threat (in fact explicitly legalizes it), and isn't very effective against the rest.

The news media always overstates these attacks, remember back in April when on the 15th the computer world was suppose to crash due to whatever bug was going around? Did not happen.
Recently some of what were though to be cyber attacks, turned out to be a glitch in the McAfee program that was seeing certain system files as a virus and deleting them. (Another reason not to use McAfee or Symantec)

Rough hombres like this guy will protect us...
