U.S. Marshals partnered with federal, state and local law enforcement agencies to carry out an operation for one month.
The operation was carried out during June and nationwide Marshals were able to arrest 35-thousand fugitives and clear more than 47-thousand warrants.
" We serve and clear as many warrants as we can nationwide on every state in any level."
That is the mission within “Operation Falcon.”
Here in Laredo U.S. Marshals teamed with local, state and federal agencies to carry out the operation.
Arresting 307 fugitives and clearing more than four hundred warrants in just one month alone!
Helping other agencies that have no jurisdiction in other parts of the state get justice.
"We can make it happen. Send our man power to whatever state were the fugitive is being located at and get person arrested."
According to agents this year's operation has been the most successful one in the five years it's been carried out.
Capturing most wanted fugitives like Raul Garza. He was wanted on federal charges involving aggravated assault with a deadly weapon as well as possession of drugs and intent of distribute.
"TASK force investigate discovered that Garza was also on a one million dollar bond out of Dallas on a murder case."
Garza allegedly killed his sister's boyfriend.
He was located in Nuevo Laredo but U.S. Marshals were not able to arrest him.
After four years of pressuring his family, Garza turned himself in during “Operation Falcon.”
" We just want to make the streets safer that’s it. That’s our main purpose that’s our main goal."
According to the attorney general the U.S. Marshals is the leading agency in the country in apprehending fugitives.

So the question remains - What the heck did they do with these 35,000 fugitives therounded up?
So if we can round up thousands of fugitives today and if the Eisenhower administration was able to round up millions of illegal aliens, why cannot the Obama administration round up the crimaliens? /sarcasm OFF
I don't mean for parking and speeding tickets: it was for people that had been arrested for previous crimes, released pending trial, and then jumped bail.
The result was dramatic: the crime rate dropped to the floor. They briefly got the habitual offenders off the street, and it made a huge difference.
