From KTVA:
Longtime political activist Ray Ward has filed the 18th ethics complaint against Governor Palin. Ward claims Palin has been paid for radio and television interviews dating back to just after she lost her vice-presidential bid.
Palin's attorney, Thomas Van Flein, tells CBS 11 News the allegations are "categorically false," and says it fits a pattern of harassing and false ethics complaints.

Palin's case for leaving her office is being made for her. 2 ethics complaints, frivolous as can be. At the rate this is going, she would have over 150 in the next 18 months.

Ward claims Palin has been paid for radio and television interviews dating back to just after she lost her vice-presidential bid. So we must all just assume this is untrue because we like her?

Why can’t we use the same tactic against Barney Frank, Chris Dodd, Nancy Pelosi etc etc etc.
If it’s THAT easy, rack ‘em up :)
To: ThePanFromJapan
All these leftists are doing is proving Sarah’s point. There is NO way in hell she could have afforded personally to stay in office with all of these complaints going on. She would end up penniless, that wasn’t worth it for her. And these idiots are STILL filing complaints over the 2008 election, Good God, they freakin won and STILL aren’t satisfied. About damn time we start investigating who are funding these people. They did not wake up one day and decide to do this, they are not smart enough. They are being paid by Obama, Soros, Axelrod, and Rahmbo Dead Fish Emmanuel

There really comes a point at which someone has to be stopped from abusing the legal system this way. If you lose frivolous lawsuit after frivolous lawsuit you should be required to stay out of the court as a plaintiff for a few years before you can try again.
And why aren't the costs of these ethics investigations being covered by the state?

What, she’s not allowed to talk to the press ever. Come on, you gotta be kidding me right
To: humblegunner
No, we must assume this isn't true because we're not idiots.

Innocent until proven guilty.
Moreso because the guy, Mr. Ray Ward, is not a credible source.

We could assume it’s untrue because her lawyer said so
Either she did, or she didn’t. Lawyer says she didn’t.
Two weeks and counting until her lawyer can counterfile against people who try to use the legal system for malicious charges

So we must all just assume this is untrue because we like her? After about a dozen baseless ethics complaints you kind of start to dismiss further ones.

So we must all just assume this is untrue because we like her? Ever hear the phrase "consider the source". Also, after 15 or 16 of these, which way would you bet if your life depended on being right?

Sure, we like her. Or many of us do. But I think you are well aware why everyone is being flippant about yet another accusation and it’s not solely based on affection. Should the day comes when one is proven true, well people cried wolf one too many times.
To: humblegunner
No, you can assume whatever you want. I’ll assume it’s a frivolous claim since all others have been proven false, and her attorney states such. That way, I’m making no more baseless assumption than you, am I?

So we must all just assume this is untrue because we like her? Good Lord...look at the track record of these people - they are throwing whatever mud they can hoping that simething sticks - that SHOULD be obvious to anyone with more than two brain cells to rub together. And so far nothing has stuck! Given the scum who have been attacking her relentlessly for no other reason than to tear her down, and their track record of "success" thus far, yes, I'd tend to give her the benefit of the doubt and assume this is BS.
To: ThePanFromJapan
If she was truly smart, she would file a $10 million lawsuit naming each and every frivolous plaintiff that has filed in the last 18 months.

NYT v. Sullivan crimps that potential solution a bit.
But, wait for the 27th. Trust me, it’s gonna be fun.

It doesn't matter whether they're frivolous or not. The Left wants to be able to say (and already do.....In fact, I heard it used this past week) that Palin is damaged goods BECAUSE of all of the ethics violations filed against her. No mention
EVER of the outcome.
