What the hell did Ruth Bader Ginsburg mean when she linked abortion and eugenics?
Telegraph.co.uk ^ | July 12th, 2009 | Damian Thompson

The mainstream media have been incredibly slow to pick up on a creepy comment by Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg in a New York Times interview published today but flagged last week. In it, Ginsburg talks about on Roe v Wade, the 1973 ruling that legalised abortion:

Frankly I had thought that at the time Roe was decided, there was concern about population growth and particularly growth in populations that we don’t want to have too many of. So that Roe was going to be then set up for Medicaid funding for abortion.

What? You can find the full context of the remark here, in the Times interview, but it doesn’t settle matters. And the (pro-choice) media haven’t exactly jumped on the story. Bloggers are incredulous.

Huge sites too like Hot Air featured the story prominently. Even Drudge ran with the story yesterday.

But as of this morning the mainstream media have completely ignored the story about one of the most powerful people in the country essentially endorsing eugenics on populations “we don’t want to have too many of”.

What the heck is going on here?

As the large metropolitan newspapers die, they’re wondering why. This is why.

Yup, and their death can't be too soon for me.
If we survey the landscape of our damaged country -- this crime can be laid at the doorstep of a media that has actively conspired to advance communist agendas in this nation over the past 40 years. They've partnered with a democrat party to portray government expansion as good (ignoring historical evidence to the contrary); to cast homosexuality in a positive light (ignoring the diseases, broken lives, and violation of God's Laws); pushed racial divisions; and to destroy any spokespeople for conservative values - religious, fiscal, or social.

The media products (newspapers, TV) should be shunned - and tossed on the ash heap. They've damaged this nation (hopefully not irrevocably -- because the LORD has promised that if humble ourselves, and pray, and seek HIS face, and turn from our wicked ways, that HE will forgive our sins and heal our land) and they deserve to receive a pink slip from this nation.

Ginsberg is near enough the end of her life that she can be the liberal she is without the BS filter. Too many of the new generation hold their liberal ideas because a bumper sticker is as much as they can read with comprehension.

Is that the actual headline? Is the writer a blithering idiot?

Here, darlin’, in words of one syllable: “They want to kill black babies.”

I am assuming that she is Jewish, and as such, I would think she would be more sensitive to the thought of eugenics. Wasn’t this also Hitler’s goal?

She meant the same thing Nancy Pelosi meant when she described abortion and birth control as a cost-savings measure for government.

John Holdren, Obama's Science Czar, says: Forced abortions and mass sterilization needed to save the planet
Forced abortions. Mass sterilization. A "Planetary Regime" with the power of life and death over American citizens.

The tyrannical fantasies of a madman? Or merely the opinions of the person now in control of science policy in the United States? Or both?

These ideas (among many other equally horrifying recommendations) were put forth by John Holdren, whom Barack Obama has recently appointed Director of the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy, Assistant to the President for Science and Technology, and Co-Chair of the President's Council of Advisors on Science and Technology -- informally known as the United States' Science Czar. In a book Holdren co-authored in 1977, the man now firmly in control of science policy in this country wrote that:

• Women could be forced to abort their pregnancies, whether they wanted to or not;

• The population at large could be sterilized by infertility drugs intentionally put into the nation's drinking water or in food;

• Single mothers and teen mothers should have their babies seized from them against their will and given away to other couples to raise;

• People who "contribute to social deterioration" (i.e. undesirables) "can be required by law to exercise reproductive responsibility" -- in other words, be compelled to have abortions or be sterilized.

• A transnational "Planetary Regime" should assume control of the global economy and also dictate the most intimate details of Americans' lives -- using an armed international police force.

Read it and weep people of Christ, read it and weep.

I was really surprised she was so blunt. I wonder which undesirables she was speaking about?

Sweden is often touted as the socialist utopia after whom the new America should be modeled.

Sweden practiced eugenics.

May God have mercy on us all.

Jesus told Peter to put his sword away. Thousands of martyrs were required to get the Church going. Okay; it’s 2000 years later. Have conditions really changed that much?
