African journalist makes CNN Obama cheerleader look really, really stupid
Michelle malkin ^ | July 13, 2009 | Michelle Malkin

For a Monday morning snort-sntart, check out the video via Newsbusters of African journalist Nkepile Mabuse fact-checking anchor Don Lemon over the weekend. Aptly named. Lemon certainly looked like he had swallowed something sour after Mabuse rejected his obsequious suggestion that President Obama’s warm welcome was somehow “unprecedented.”

Golden moment:

Mabuse: “It’s not unprecedented. When President Bush was here, you will remember, in February, there were people who were drumming, there were dances, and President Bush joined some of them.”

I was watching CNN during Katrina and their fat, latino reporter was looking for disgruntled people to put on camera live. He approached one tall, black guy in a blanket and asked him what he thought of the situation. The guy jumped up and said, "Me and my family got plucked off our roof just before the house collapsed. We got food, clothes and cash to hold us over...God bless George Bush!"

Needless to say that clip was never re-shown.

You didn't hear or see a lot of positive things that went on here during/after Katrina. My church, with the help of churches from all over the nation and 2nd harvesters, set up tents in our parking lot after the water went down in Metairie. We had one large tent for medical needs, one for clothing, one for feeding and one for giving groceries. We feed over 200,000 over a period of months after Katrina - hardly hit the local news much less national news. They only wanted to hear from the superdome and the causeway overpass. Pitiful how bias the media is. And, as the WHOLE Gulfcoast has recovered, the media still pays attention to a small group in the Greater New Orleans Area - most of which were on the government take before and after Katrina. Boy, I could tell you stories!

More than half of our 2,000 members relocated after Katrina but we have since grown again. I was spared the destruction of my home - water came to my doorstep - blessed indeed compared to others. Although the HEAT was almost unbearable. But, contrary to what others heard the National Guard was there as soon as water went down in Metairie (about 2 days) and were ready to go into New Orleans. We had water and ice the first few days and then rations after that. I watched on battery TV as Blanco and Landrieu (both looking like deer in headlights) tried to get the situation under control - I guess you saw hundreds of flooded buses left in New Orleans because there were no drivers and Nagin didn't give permission to use them. I believe one young man commandeered one and took some people to safety. Otherwise they (democrats all) blamed Pres. Bush. Blieve me they all should be held accountable for how things were managed (or lack there of) Blanco did not ask for national help for days but it was Bush's fault for not responding. It makes me furious til this day. But, what can you do, the media decided who the bad boy was and that was that. I really don't know who can stoop the lowest, liberal democrats, media or hollywood - it's a toss up! Sorry to go on so but once I get started, that's it.

Most conservatives understand all the points you made, but it's great seeing it come from someone who was actually there. I am constantly refuting the media propaganda to liberals, who are proud of their misinformation. Unfortunately, the Left has been successful in turning the word, "Katrina" into a one-word condemnation of Bush without ever saying another word.

At least Blanco is gone, but you've still got Nagin and Landrieu, hopefully not for long.

For that I am grateful because left to the media no one would get the real facts. And, yes the word “Katrina” has become the mantra for the poor, oppressed people the 9th ward and surrounding areas. Of course, Chalmette was flattened completely and is just now coming back but that’s not liberal fodder. I am glad others are aware of the real story and facts. And yes, Blanco is gone! Nagin is in the Greater New Orleans area - need I say more (they re-elcted Jefferson. I really hope we can get a good person to run against Landrieu. David Vitter will be battered by the left but I am hoping he can survive and win again. Even making mistakes, basically he is a good man and his wife, Wendy is a good person as well.

Louisiana is sure lucky to have you. It’s a shame you don’t run. Maybe you should think about it.

Maybe you should think about it. I Couldn't stand the scrutiny. The left castrates and eats its young. I don't think I have the stomach or the temperament for it. I would have to dust the cobwebs off my 38 revolver :) I really have to work hard at turning the other cheek more than once. Just look at Palin - it's a disgrace what those animals do to a person. I'd be in jail by now.
