Second Amendment zealots are not letting the bad economy stop them from buying guns. According to a news article published on Saturday by The Telegraph/UK, gun shops across the U.S. are having a heyday selling rifles and pistols to those afraid President Barack Obama may take away their right to bear arms. The Telegraph’s article findings may have something to do with the rhetoric National Rifle Association leaders are using to fire up their members. The NRA is going around the country setting up meetings and urging members to fight for their guns at all costs. “Are you ready for the tough fight ahead we’re gonna face to keep our freedoms?” said NRA’s Executive Director Wayne LaPierre to a room packed with members in Phoenix. “Because considering what our freedoms are going to be up against we all need to be ready,” he said as people cheered. The NRA is using news media interviews against high level politicians to “expose” the threat they present to the Second Amendment. Playing short news clips of Senator Dianne Feinstein, Attorney General Eric Holder, President Obama, and Secretary of State Hillary Clinton being interviewed on various TV networks, LaPierre cautioned NRA members of the “the damn lies” that “keep coming” and that will result in banning guns in the country. Obama is already SECRETLY making his moves against the FIRST AND SECOND amendments. For example, he has already ordered the military to not sell its expended rifle and pistol ammo brass cases -— they must NOW BE SHREDDED AND DESTROYED so the private sector cannot get them any more. We know what his objective is.

The public outcry got that one reversed.
We are approaching the point where the constitutional challenge is the only thing that will avoid an open conflict.

The administration changed it’s piolicy of brass destructiom imstead of selling it for re-use. The admin had originally proposed this but was forced to change it’s polcy after public outcry... some of it from DemoCRAPs who knew this was too hot to handle.

What has not caught up yet and possibly not for a while is the ammo and components shortages. Boxes of 380, 9mm, 45ACP, and 45 Long Colt, and even 22LR are few and far between.
I wonder what side the military will be on in an open conflict with the feds?
Work through your states, folks.
Make sure you have a legitimate political entity that is challenging the fedgov, and not just your little ol’ Bubba Group.
I hate to say it but I suspect it will break down largely along racial lines. It won’t be 100% racial but very heavily skewed on race and/or ethnicity.

I hope you are right on this. It would indicate we still have a voice — another sign they continue to underestimate the resolve and tenacity of American citizens.

100% correct. If this continues to deteriorate and is not checked, we could see those groups, assisting the State Guard.
Unthinkable, but I know the military and think it will not come to that.
Good old boys & girls will support the military. But possibly not Washinton DC.

Of course, that even counts on their 100% participation in “putting down a state rebellion”.
If we go past a constitutional challenge over 10th amendment, and we present a strong enough threat none of this will be necessary.
If they do not blink, we are in deep dooo. The left hates the military and I do not believe they can muster the needed support there. Oath Keepers will see to that.
The Kenyan and his leftie friends are in for a rude awakening.
We have our work cut out for us over the next 6 months.
One thing I know about leftists, from study, is that they will raise Hell itself to keep anyone from “escaping” their thumb.
Anyone in power trying to thread the needle and let individual states escape federal control due to the realities of trying to keep them under said control,
will face a popular uprising of their leftist base.

A right is not revocable, but to keep it you must be willing to defend it.
The conventional wisdom states that as the President's usurpations against the Constitution comes to a head, more and more military units (and the individuals therein) will become politically aware. As this awareness increases, these units will be faced with a big decision. The unknown is how they will break: for or against.
I'll gladly shelter deserters from Obama's military as long as they bring their fun toys to my house and let me play with them in the upcoming civil war.
