At least she didn’t tell us not to believe our lying ears.

Liar. She’s a card-carrying, goose-stepping member of LaRaza.

admitted it was a "rhetorical flourish" that fell flat.

Didn't she say it more than once? ...over a period of years?

"It was clearly not what I intended [to say]," Sotomayor concluded.

Clear to whom?

So it didnt work, then why did she repeat in 6-7 times over a 3 year period?

Bravo Sierra.

It was a racist, elitist comment that has revealed who she really is, along with the snide "The cameras are running...I'm not supposed to say that," comment.

She is a racist, radical, La Raza marxist ideologue like the horse she rode into town on, Obama, and unfit to sit in judgement of any free people.

Has anyone else noticed how often she blames other people’s understanding of her statements on “rhetorical flourishes” that fell flat? Are misunderstood? Are taken out of context, etc?

Obama’s pick for Supreme Court Justice, Sotomayor – a divisive voice and an embarrassment to the Supreme Court.

I would hope that a wise Latina woman with the richness of her experiences would more often than not reach a better conclusion [as a judge] than a white male who hasn’t lived that life.”

KEYWORD above is BETTER

If Justice Alito or Roberts said the statement above they would BE TOAST, PERIOD!

Jeff Sessions should be the one being recommended for the SC! He really did our state proud during his questioning of the nominee.

I’m not sure which of the two is more disturbing: her original “wise latina” statement, or this new revelation that she says things that she doesn’t mean.

A judge who sits on the Supreme Court Bench and makes rhetorical flourishes that she “clearly doesn’t mean” is a menace to Society: about the most dangerous thing in public office that is possible, except perhaps having a Communist in the Oval Office...

...and Bad Luck if you get both at once!

Lying BS.

She said it numerous times...not just one rhetorical flourish!

I hope Sessions or Grassley jumps all over that!

The litmus test for racism should be to reverse the race. If a white man had said that his experience made him a better judge than a latina woman - he would have been destroyed by the media. I’m tired of whites being treated differently. I want equality. I’m tired being called “you people” by Jesse Jackson. I’m tired of job discrimination against whites because of the color of our skin. I’m tired of being held to a higher standard for college applications.

Sotomayor has sex with ants.

Sorry I didn’t mean that. It was a “rhetorical flourish” that fell flat.

While explaining her "personal experiences" comment, Judge Sonia Sotomayor admitted it was a "rhetorical flourish" that fell flat.

Kinda like her judicial decisions, which tend to fall flat when reviewed by superior courts.
