NEA flexes 'political muscle,' backs same-sex 'marriage'

The National Education Association has thrown its full support behind homosexual "marriage."

The NEA recently held its annual convention in San Diego, California, where members voted on two issues of importance to those involved in the culture war. One of those issues was whether the union would support same-gender marriage. According to Jeralee Smith, co-founder of the Conservative Educators Caucus, the resolution passed by roughly a two-thirds majority.

"There are quite a few items where the NEA absolutely puts its political muscle behind taking down any legislation in any state that they consider to be discriminatory to homosexuals," says Smith. "And some of the language in the resolution also hints that the NEA will try to take down the Defense of Marriage Act [DOMA] on the federal level."

related article buttonSmith told Baptist Press that when a representative of the Conservative Caucus spoke against the resolution and mentioned the words "marriage should be between a man and a woman," the speaker was booed.

Also up for a vote was a resolution for the NEA to take a "no position" stance on the issue of abortion. That proposal was voted down 61 percent to 39 percent.

During the meeting, the organization's retiring general counsel, Bob Chanin, complained that "conservative and right-wing bastards" are after the NEA and its state affiliates. Smith called that statement "refreshing honesty" on Chanin's part about how he feels about conservatives. (See related article from LifeSiteNews.com)

The NEA, like the ACLU, is a subversive organization that during saner times would be blacklisted.

We send our children off to be cared for by these curriculum planners and textbook writers every day.

Why would a teachers union even take a side, that SHOULD be outside of their scope, unless they have a sleazy political agenda. Oh yeah, they DO have a sleazy political aganda, and therefore should be outlawed, and all members jailed for being domestic enemies of the Constitution.

They probably back water flowing uphill too. It’s amazing how silly people can get once they start thinking the Laws of Nature and of Nature’s God can be repealed by mankind.

Who’s “we”, paleface?

In all seriousness, though, more and more parents, especially Christian parents, are seeing that public schools are directly undermining their values, and are choosing to make the sacrifices necessary in order not to send their kids into this mess.

With the help of the NEA and their agendas, American school children are academically ignorant.

I sent a lib into an absolute tizzy one day when I stated that

God’s moral laws and the consequences for breaking them
are as immutable as His physical laws.

Not us.
That is why we homeschool.

It is also very obvious that the NEA's membership does not reflect the values and mores of those who entrust their children to their care.

Which makes one wonder why these people give up their children to them.

If these haughty folks were consistent, they’d pass a law that says nobody will get AIDS from their shameful, filthy, sexually-disoriented acts. After all, if we can overrule one statute of natural law, why not another?

Is it too much to ask for these NEA clowns to flex some muscle in support of quality education? Of course it is. The NEA is a thoroughly corrupted looney-left-wing clusterflock.

Wrong. My children's teachers don't do anything of the sort. I care for my kids. I arm them with truth. My kids challenge teachers who bring politics into the classroom, and in the process open the eyes of their fellow classmates.

The solution to liberal ideology in public schools is fighting back. There have been several successful examples of this in recent weeks. Parents like my wife and I wage and win similar battles throughout the school year, and our kids are better for it. We are raising moral, conservative, Christian citizens. Citizens who will know how to defend themselves and their beliefs.

The schools are sending kids out into the world that can’t spell or do basic math,(recall the joke by Larry the Cable Guy;”When your bill at McDonalds comes to $4.81,give the kid at the register $10.01 and watch the fun begin...”),yet they find the time to send them to march in gay pride parades....

Actually, in concept, that’s what the left is all about,

using the State to try to counter-act the consequences of breaking God’s natural laws.

Lazy? Starve. vs Lazy? Have the State steal others’ income for you.

Want sex? Get married. vs Want sex? Go ahead, the State will alleviate all consequences.

Get a disease from promiscuousness? Example to others.
vs
Get HIV? Have the State research and pay for drugs to keep you alive.

That’s true. But the fact that they have to devise “work-arounds” points up their impotence.

Francis Bacon said, “Nature can only be commanded by being obeyed.” Yet we are to pretend that unnatural sexual acts were made natural by the ruling of a judge? And we’re to even make-believe that two shacked-up perverts can be metamorphosed into a married couple by the stroke of a legislator’s pen?

Sorry, I don’t buy it. Until these hubristic usurpers can decree that there will be no ill consequences of defying natural law - and make it stick - their proclamations and “decisions” ring rather hollow.

In short, if they can’t back their claims to authority, I’m skeptical when they tell me that “sodomy is natural and good”, or that “these two sodomites are now married.” It’s their word against the whole Creation - and their word looks like an empty claim.

What does supporting same-sex marriage have to do with the education of my children? NEA has gotten way off track.

It is all part of their reeducation into Multicultural Marxism. You must understand that your children belong to the state and not to you.

We’ve been there done that too but here’s the thing about kids as you know. We raised our kids the same way now we have grandkids, all granddaughters. My daughter found inappropriate notes from a female teacher to one of our granddaughters, stressing secrecy, “don’t tell, this is OUR secret”. She was obviously a predator making her moves, granddaughter 12 at the time.

Nothing happened but the teacher was weaseling her way to do whatever, she was trying to arrange private “conferences” (why? granddaughter very active, straight As, etc., no “problems” to be “counseled” about) pretty spooky when one SEES the evidence.

Daughter took evidence and complaints to schoolboard, went on for weeks, great evidence. Teacher “transferred”, then a year later, granddaughter ends up at SAME SCHOOL as predator teacher, this in Texas. My daughter is learning about the “power” of unionized teachers protecting each other, they roadblocked her complaints until she hired an attorney (more expenses!). Don’t kid yourself. kids are intimidated (for the most part) by “authority” figures and easily manipulated.

Daughter labeled as a “troublemaker”, yep, fits the pattern doesn’t it?

School systems are not to be trusted but monitored as much as possible.
