Fetuses found to have memories

By Jennifer Harper July 16, 2009

They weigh less than 3 pounds, usually, and are perhaps 15 inches long. But they can remember.

The unborn have memories, according to medical researchers who used sound and vibration stimulation, combined with sonography, to reveal that the human fetus displays short-term memory from at least 30 weeks gestation - or about two months before they are born.

"In addition, results indicated that 34-week-old fetuses are able to store information and retrieve it four weeks later," said the research, which was released Wednesday.

Scientists from the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Maastricht University Medical Centre and the University Medical Centre St. Radboud, both in the Netherlands, based their findings on a study of 100 healthy pregnant women and their fetuses with the help of some gentle but precise sensory stimulation.

Presumed vegetables until proven human. Thats the crazy thing to me -- we always allow these whack jobs to frame the debate so that what we are arguing about doesn't even make sense anymore. Why wouldn't they be human? They ARE human! My gun is now called a gunetus; therefore, it cannot be managed under any law pertaining to guns. My money -- monetus. Can't tax monetus -- there is no code for that.

Using the stratle reflex, which is evident within five months from conception, researchers have proven that the womb-bound child can learn. By repeating a loud noise which casues the startle reflex at first, the child learned that the noise was not to be ‘feared’ (startled over) and stopped jerking when the sound is repeated several times. But these lumps of tissue are a dangerous element in the war on ‘man-made global warming’ so men like Barry and his Science Czar are down for killing them wholesale or even after live birth.

They are indeed humans from the start. My statement was basically to show the pro-choice believes that the child don’t have become human until a certain point in time in development. Pro-life, however, know they are humans after conception.

NO!! That is not possible! that would make the little parasites human or something. we cannot allow that, it would interfere with exterminating them./sarc

I wonder if Barry’s eugenics loving Science Czar, HOldern, has given Barry a lesson on when science says the unborn are human beings? ... ‘Course that does mean a darn thing to Barry, since he advocated protecting those killing the just born via purposed neglect.

It’s always taken an act of sophistry to think or believe that the mere act of being born would fundamentally change the essence of the person that is being born. It’s almost like saying that you’re one person inside your house and another person as soon as you go outside. It just doesn’t make sense.

Anyone who has ever seen their child via ultrasound will learn quickly that these "fetuses" are the most alive, beautiful little people in God's creation.
