The White House announced today that President Obama will hold a prime-time news conference on Wednesday, but it made the announcement in a novel way: Posting it to Twitter.

"You heard it here first: Primetime presidential news conference at the White House, Wed. 7/22 @ 9PM EDT" the White House tweeted at 4:25 p.m.

Obama's last prime-time questioning by reporters occurred April 29.

I GUARANTEE that even the Obama-fawning press is beginning to get sick of him.

Why doesn’t he just cut to the chase and order ALL networks to slot him in at the same time each and every damn night? An every-night reality show featuring Obama and/or his family; the use of the time left entirely to him. In all my years I have NEVER seen or heard a President that was on the air as much as this one.

Anyone remember Dudley Moore in “Arthur”? The bit where he announces to his butler that he thinks he’ll take a bath? Sir John Gielgud replies, “I’ll alert the media”. Everytime I hear about another appearance by Obama I immediatly think of that. Obama ties his own shoe and somebody deems it national news to be broadcast to the adoring masses. Enough, already.

All talk. That’s all his admin is, talk. They hope his “soaring rhetoric” (Barf) will soothe everyone. I just can’t stand him any longer.

Will the GOP give an alternative response like the State of the Union Address?
