Absolutely NOBODY here has a problem with that.
Absolutely NOBODY here has a problem calling out the socialist scum-bucket politicians who have passed bailouts and budgets that are bankrupting us and are voting to destroy our freedoms with ObamaCare and cap-n-trade etc.
Absolutely NOBODY here has a problem with finding ways to bounce their worthless butts out of office ... in the next election.
The SPECIFIC issue and concern was/is the impatient call to somehow overturn the results of the last election with some direct action, in a way that contravenes the laws and Constitution we patriots revere. It’s a contradiction. It’s also a pipedream and a dangerous one at that and has ALREADY been used by others to cast Freepers as wackos.

They are talking about having a super majority to be able to change the fair tax rate once it is put in place. The fair tax will put in front of every consumer with every purchase what they are actually paying for their government.
The taxes will no longer be hidden from view in corporate taxes, tax compliance (Billions per year for compliance for citizens and corporations.)
The FairTax intentionally didn’t try to take on the whole enchilada as it is tax revenue neutral. Getting this passed will be a herculean task in itself. Just removing the power of tax manipulation from the politicians and lobbyists wont fix the whole socialistic mess we are in, but it get the ship pointed in the right direction at least.

Ah yes, the liberal intelligensia is trying VERY HARD to make Obama's Regime the Next FDR, replete with a new Great Depression Permanent Crisis to get Government to hook Americans into dependency. What they remember from history is that FDR'a innovations radically and permanently altered the relationship of the people with the Federal Govt. All your description is a definition of Federal Government as it existed from 1789 to 1933.
What Obama wants is the next step in that evolution: Handing power to the UN; controlling the energy sector and socializing the healthcare sector; tax rates back in Carter era levels.
The Tea Party movement and the rapid negative reaction to the Obama agenda is an indicator that this times it's different. What we need to understand is that any policy innovation has to survive 3 tests: 1. The test of getting affirmed by candidates for office. 2. The test of passing legislation. 3. The test of permanence, when it doesnt get repealed.
We may have to spend the next 10 years fighting to clean up the messes made NOW by the bailouts, ObamaCare, etc. But the fight we wage needs to be focussed, specific and have a clear agenda in mind: Defeat and repeal these 5 key elements of Obama's agenda: 1. Higher taxes. 2. Bailouts and takeovers 3. Obamacare socialized medicine 4. Cap-n-trade energy taxes 5. Out of control deficit spending. Walking back the rest of American liberalism will take more education and activism than is available in this CURRENT EMERGENCY. Focus on defeating Obama's agenda as the #1 goal and you will have a achieved a victory as important as Reagan's election in 1980..
On April 28th, 2003, Hillary Clinton said: “I am sick and tired of people who say that if you debate and you disagree with this administration, somehow you’re not patriotic, and we should stand up and say, “We are Americans and we have a right to debate and disagree with any administration!"

Yes! Yes!.. and these folks must do more than march, they need to put up, fund and elect our candidates one layer of government at a time. Remember how one Prosecutor in Texas wiped out Tom Delay. We can't do that, with fake charges, but Real Prosecutors and real charges are available on all levels already. The President is invulnerable but many around him are hip deep in it and need to be held accountable to the law.
State and Federal Prosecutors will act when they know they are supported and they are doing the right thing. One piece at a time. We are already seeing this. Major Cook, took a massive hit, but the reason the Army dumped him so fast was that a Federal Judge agreed to look at this square. He is not the last. With Obama's poll numbers sliding, and the program he is pushing being so obviously brain dead, in six months he may be begging for friends. Don't lose heart, America is great because of all of the levels of checks and balances, not just the few. They are not perfect, but enough if we do as you say, get serious and keep the pressure on.
This statement is more like the Jim Robinson I have come to admire and respect.

With all due respect, it's not Jim I'm worried about. Read this thread. Jim would control this thing for all of 20 minutes until the mob took over.
