U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton opened a three-day visit to India on Saturday by urging India not to repeat American mistakes in contributing to global pollution, and she passionately defended U.S. demands for help in fighting terrorism.

"We acknowledge now with President Obama that we have made mistakes in the United States, and we along with other developed countries have contributed most significantly to the problem that we face with climate change," she said. "We are hoping a great country like India will not make the same mistakes."

Let me get this correct. The US has to apologize because we are not some third world cess pit like India is, although India has gotten its act together the past decade.

India to PIAPS - Apology accepted. And BTW, do you happen to have a copy of Obama’s BC with you?

This incessant apologizing has got to STOP! Whether it be the boy blunder or the pig in the pant suit (PIAP). Trying to compare the United States to India at this stage of development is like trying to compare a Cadillac roadster to a Nada. The Indians will give her lip service and then belch as much CO2 as needed to move their economy forward while we piously preach the religion of our own destruction.

Grrrrr! I don’t know if Americans fully appreciate how GRATING it is to hear them apologize and suck up to us dam’n foreigners whenever Americans travel to our countries.

We HATE IT!!

It seems that some Americans labor under the false impression that if they bad-mouth their country to us, we’ll somehow like them better. It’s not true.

In fact, we think the opposite. “Why is this Yank bad-mouthing his country to us foreigners? Has he no shame?”

Don’t do it. DON’T DO IT. We hate it. Hate it!

We don’t bad-mouth our countries when we visit America. You shouldn’t feel the need to bad-mouth America when you visit us. Just don’t do it.

And if you visit New Zealand DO NOT LEAVE A TIP ANYWHERE EVER. We don’t like it.

No, India! Don’t let your polar bears go swimming off of ice bergs! The horror. The shame. Instead, let them frolic in your arctic region as all polar bears do, when not driven out to sea by Man!

If you visit Israel, Hillary, don’t forget to stick out your thumb at everyone you meet, just like if you were hitch-hiking in the states. We LOVE IT! It’s a sign of great affection and respect, especially between diplomats.

Lol, glad to hear those sentiments expressed, but you're directing it to the wrong audience. Most at FR hate all these stupid and unwarranted apologies, also. It's lefty Democrat thing, the blame American first, guilt-ridden white liberals who get all sorts of thrills and self-righteous feelings when they make fools of themselves in other nations. Our president with a Third World view of America also seems to enjoy the apology gig.
