President Barack Obama last Monday met for the first time with leaders of selected Jewish organizations and leaks from the meeting now make one thing very clear. The only free country in the Middle East no longer has a friend in the leader of the free world. Obama is the most hostile sitting American president in the history of the state of Israel.
This was the very first meeting with Jewish community's leaders. Earlier requests for an audience with major Jewish organizations had reportedly been ignored. Six months after taking office the president finally got around to issuing an invitation to stop the bleeding. Increasing numbers of Jews even among the overwhelming number who voted for Obama have been voicing serious concern about his real agenda.

The growing alarm in the Jewish community was also something the White House was bent on covering up. They refused to put the meeting on the President's public schedule until it was outed. The White House demanded strict confidentiality and issued a terse couple of lines that it occurred when it was all over.
WAKE UP! But there is no papering over the distressing reality that emerged. The president told his listeners that he preferred putting daylight between the United States and Israel. His reported justification: "there was no light between the US and Israeli positions for the last eight years, and no progress was made."
Evidently, unilateral disengagement from the Gaza Strip, 21 settlements and 9,000 residents counts for nothing. The Palestinian terrorist leadership and street have refused to accept a Jewish state for the past eight years (and the previous 53) because the United States did not add sufficiently to Israel's isolation.

Why 2012? Why not 2010? Why not 2009?
Heavy Democrat electoral losses (in both federal elections in 2010, and local elections in 2009) would gut Obama's agenda real fast.
For too long Jewish Americans have depended upon Republicans to protect Israel while spitting in their faces at election time. That period is now over. The Dems are in control of the federal government, in all its parts. And the Dem President doesn't give a damn about Israel.
So, to the Jewish electorate, it now comes down to this: what do you love more, socialism or Israel? Choose now.
And sticking your head in the sand means you choose against Israel.

Nothing will change that. I believe it was Commentary that did a detailed analysis of the allegiance of American Jews to the Democrat party. They concluded that while they may complain and threaten, American Jews are committed to the party above all else. They will NOT support conservative, Christians in any way, shape or form. From what I can see and hear from New England - this will not change just because of 0.

The Democrat party isnt a political party, it is a political cult and the American Jew is a part of that cult. They drink the purple Kool-aid in spite of knowing it will kill them.
It appears that a majority of American Jewry fears Christians more than it supports Israel.
I have the sense that Malcolm is on the right side of these issues but his diplomatic knee jerks and he doesn't want to say too much that might offend someone. But Nachum very definitely on the right side of things and usually not afraid to let people know. So it was interesting to hear him ask Malcolm all sorts of diplomatically difficult questions on Friday only to have Malcolm steer the conversation to a completely different topic than the one he had been asked about.

What was the tone of JWR’s writings during the campaign? Do you remember?
Is this a shock? Only to left wingers wearing blinders.
Do America’s Jews really give a fig about Israel, or are they so wedded to the Left that they’ll throw Israel under the bus to promote their love affair with BHO’s American Marxism?
The answer is pretty clearly the latter.
If they were expecting anything other than seething, barely concealed hostility from someone publicly stating (as Zero did, pre-election) that "the morning Muslim call to prayer is one of the most beautiful sounds in all the world," then -- quite frankly -- I can't imagine how, or why.
