All 1,018 pages of the Democrats' health care bill can be inspected here. The bill includes racial preferences. Under the Democrats' health care bill, if a medical school wants to increase its chances of receiving many different kinds of grants and contracts from the federal government, it should have a demonstrated record of training individuals who are from underrepresented minority groups. This is because the Democrats' health care bill requires the Secretary of Health and Human Services to give preference to the entities that have demonstrated such a record in the awarding of these contracts to medical schools and other institutions.

Every bill has racial preferences, well no duh. They are assuming that the from each according to their ability are the white folks and to those according to their need is non whites. Thanks msm for bringing us this obamanation.
Imagine how many cleaning ladies, lawn cutters and busboys will then be flooding the medical schools.

What will happen to qualification tests to get into medical and nursing schools? I thought Dona Sotominor and the Firemen Comedia took care of this.

This is one of the things people are seeing in the bill that actually is true.......a lot of the other stuff is being misunderstood due to legalese, but this is correct.
The bill will make majority admission to medical school harder just as an outcome of this....
That's the biggest negative of this "affirmative action" in medical training program. The consequence for patients, when combined with the inevitable rationing, will be absolutely disastrous!
Hopefully, this disclosure will be the straw that breaks the Obamatons' collective backs and kills their whole plan!

However, I am a pragmatist.
If I find out that unqualified or incompetent doctors can be identified by racial characteristics, due to the presence of racially-granted unearned credit during training, I will avoid that class of doctors by any means necessary.
I am sure the Supreme Court will overturn that provision.....oh wait, Sotomeyer is on the bench now? Forget it...
Well he sends his kids to public school, doesn't he? (oh, wait - never mind).
I wonder if anyone has done a study to ascertain that Sidley Friends School, in their faculty and student makeup, reflects the population of Washington, D.C.? Oh, they must because Obama would never send his kids to a racially-predjudiced school - would he?
But just for the record, I think the man who was long regarded as the finest pediatric surgeon in the area, Dr. Benjamin Carson, was both the BEST and a minority. The terms “best” and “minority” are not mutually exclusive.
