Following the mad recommendations of Peter Singer made in NYT's Sunday magazine, it pays to take a look at what is actually in the healthcare bill.
It's worse than you can possibly imagine. Somehow, it manages to be Singer on steroids. Who wrote this bill. It has Singer's footprints all over it.

Trained for 10 additional years after college to be an M.D., specialize, sub-specialize, and do what I do. Ran up big student loan debt, and lived a spartan life. Will never have those years of my life back. Have always felt that being a doctor was a huge privilege, and that it was a social contract that expected from me the commitment to go sleepless when necessary and to put my patients before myself. Those were voluntary choices. I will not cede my liberty to the government. My life, like all lives, matters. I am not a pawn of those like Obama who have much less education than me but are arrogant enough to think they know more than anyone else. I wish your friend well, but if this goes where Obama wants it to go I would not do medicine as a career.
I couldn’t read past about the 10th item. I am so angry right now that I’m about to break into tears! The MOFO and Co must be defeated !

I agree 100% w/you but also think we need to copy and paste this into an email and send it to everyone in our email address books. If more people knew this stuff was in there they would wake up and realize they don’t want this either!
We also need to call all our legislators and melt their phones! I got right through to the ones in NM which tells me not many ppl are calling. When I posted these opinions on the NM page everyone pretty much told me there’s no use. I was really bummed.

I think the part about ACCESSING private BANK accounts to check how much money a person has is extrememly dangerous. And to think the Fascist now have control of the banking system.
