Dershowitz is simply blinded to reality by his addiction to a party whose current leader an Arabist president with connections to Islam, communism, and antisemitism in his background.

He's not blinded. He's an political operative. Israel isn't at the top of his list of political issues. I appreciate his advocacy for Israel, he's a clear thinker, and an talented advocate. Be happy The One didn't appoint Alan or a Larry Tribe to the Court, they'd change minds. But he's a political advocate at heart. An effective critic of Jimmy "watch that bunny" Carter, he'd be defending him were Carter in office today. When you say that Dershowitz is a political operative, do you think he's seriously angling for a SCOTUS seat? To the best of my knowledge, he's never held an elective or appointed government position on any level.
