There’s nothing compliant about taxes in this country. You’ll go to jail if you don’t pay them and how does the husband and wife going to jail help raise moral children in their household?
It’s the government’s responsibility to be fiscally conservative and moral with taxes. If they don’t they’ll have to answer to God for those sins.
Jesus said, “Render unto Caesar” but He didn’t qualify that with “but only if Rome is perfect”.
He said "Follow me" rather than "follow Rome" -- and render unto Caesar the things that are Caesar's. Caesar has no right to slaughter babies and if he has the power it is because you and I not only decline to resist forcefully, but because you and I send Caesar the money that pays for these murders.
I suppose the good Germans also worked to subsidize the concentration camps where people were slaughtered, and said that it wouldn't be helpful (morally or materially) to their own families if they went to jail for refusing to support an evil system.
We're all standing before Judgment. You, me, Pontius Pilate, Adolf Eichmann; some officials, some soldiers, some just taxpayers. All serve, and offer excuses.
It appears that if Caesar ever becomes President of the United States I'll have to buy a copy of TurboTax to fulfill my Christian duties. I could send a check now but being made out to "Caesar" I'm sure the IRS would become annoyed.
