Gates-Gate: Morning Shows Exclude Non-African-American Guests
NewsBusters ^ | Mark Finkelstein

Posted on 07/25/2009 11:04:43 AM PDT by governsleastgovernsbest

The networks might just as well have hung out a sign this morning: non-African-American experts on policing and racial profiling need not apply. Good Morning America, the Early Show and Today had a total of six guests on the subject . . . and every one was African-American.

Among the highlights: a writer from Tina Brown's Daily Beast suggested that given our incarceration rate, the USA meets the definition of a "police state."

Looks like the networks got their phone call from Rahm and Axelrod this morning...they are waking white Americans up to the real racism of the administration.

Mark, there was a “Gates’s daughter speaks out” (on CBS) thread here ... the daughter is also a Daily Beast writer. Small world, ain’t it ?

Yeah well its just like most HR dept - filled with racist blacks, feminists and white male haters...

If your a manager at a fortune 500 company you know that you are required to unfairly hire and promote POCs (people of color) - the mandates and performance reviews are based on the number of non white candidates that are advanced.

Blacks think they are taking over. Now people will get to see them in the flesh rather than abstract sufferers with the Saints.

If these experts were to be asked to define “racism” in context with their life experiences the show would have had to been canceled for lack of intellect. It is all about their feelings transfixed into a metaphysical form that they share, as for the producers when “racism” is mentioned they have to dig back 40 years for a photo. The two definitions of racism simply do not match. Oboomba’s media cult is gonna kill his presidency with this race crap, its hated and feared immensely by the average lumpen white American and anyone else who fears the Mau Mau.

Not just racial profiling but maybe a little political profiling there.

Not that there is anything new with that.

How can you tell if someone is racist?

They’re white.

the USA meets the definition of a "police state"

I agree, it is.

The police are little more than locally sanctioned domestic terrorists.

I wouldn't call the police for just about any reason. It is just to risky and unpredictable. You cant predict what they will do, or what they will interpret about what they may observe. There are so many laws. You are probably breaking several laws right now as you sit here reading this. Its just that the cops are experts at seeing this.

Thanks to the white libs in the media who shamelessly use them as props to cow the rest of the country. Remember Imus, there was a sadistic glee in the eyes of those libs when they got a chance to watch him be mau maued. It is rather unseemly what the white libs think of blacks.

This is what happens when you have iditos as commentators.
A police state exists when a Government incarcerates people that oppsoe the Government not break laws.If the writer wants to see a Police State stick around in America for more of the Obama Administraion and his Brown Shirts Corps and then they will see a Police State in America.

This sort of advanced “circling the wagons” around Hussein was predictable as hell. Wait for the media blitz on the next case of police “brutality” or accusation of racism. However, the damage to our racist acting-president has been done. More was exposed by his own arrogance than by two years of media “insight!”

One minor note. This article, like every other article I have read on this—several dozen of them—says that Gates is the homeowner.

No. Harvard is the homeowner, I just learned. As a non-profit organization, they pay no real estate taxes, and Gates gets a special deal on a very large and fancy house with a three-car garage.

That's why he could smash in the door. Someone else's property. I wonder if he's sold off the copper yet?

"Mansfield Frazier of the Daily Beast suggested the United States is a "police state" because we have a high incarceration rate."

As opposed to a criminal state where a weak and corrupt law enforcement has negligible effect?

The silver lining to the economic collapse is that the fat gets trimmed; the “non-workers” are cut, while productive, knowledgeable people usually stay on (that quaint “merit” idea). “Re-making America” is a massive wealth re-distribution, but it is taking place at a horrible time for all. While I don’t have much to spend anyway (at least I’m still working, but paying down debt rather than shopping), I must say I have no sympathy for these large companies that have engaged in this affirmative action/token hiring. So many vendors I deal with have someone from a “protected” class in a high position (with title & salary), but when you need something done/fixed, they switch you to the “non-protected” (read: Asian or European male) to do it.

Good riddance to the “America” of 1992 to 2007; now reality will set that sh!t right.

Anytime you do not get things to happen in the way that you want them to, start asking if it is because of the color of your skin. I think it is high time whites start pointing out our racial disadvantage.

Who watches this crap anymore anyway? I think even the dimmest bulbs have realized that 99% of what is on TV is nonsense (latest: the rebounding economy, even as unemployment numbers keep climbing). If you’ve ever had an unexpected weekday off, the daytime TV should convince you that the people who watch it and the people who work every day will never have anything in common; worse still, the workday of the one and the brainwashing of the other ensure that there will always be complete apathy between them.

I’m guessing that studies in “racial profiling,” are part of a “black studies” curriculem, meaning that, like “women’s studies,” it’s probably practiced only by activist types seeking to impose their own prejudices on the academy.
