34-years-ago, Karen Grammer was brutally killed after a botched robbery in Colorado Springs. Her convicted killer, Freddie Glenn, is now up for parole.
Karen's brother, actor Kelsey Grammer has said he will be at that parole hearing at the Limon Correctional Facility Monday.
Former Assistant District Attorney Chuck Heim..."She was sitting outside ...waiting for her boyfriend to get out of work and these clowns picked her up,"
It was July 1st, 1975.
18-year-old Grammer was sitting in a car outside of a Red Lobster in Colorado Springs, when three men, including Freddie Glenn, tried to rob the restaurant. When that didn't work they kidnapped Grammer... The men took turns raping her over four hours. They told her they were going to let her go, and dragged her from the car. It was then that Glenn slit her throat and left her.
"She crawled up on a back porch, where there was a light, but the homeowners were out. You could see bloody hand prints and finger prints where she tried to reach the doorbell for help and she died there," Heim remembered, "It was a vicious killing."
Glenn was tried and convicted of Grammer's murder and he was given the death penalty for it. But the Supreme Court overturned the death penalty which made Glenn eligible for parole after thirty years. He served ten years for Grammer's murder and twenty for two other homicides he was convicted of.

Who the hell would ever want a triple murderer to return to society at all?
Some animals are more equal than others...
Democrats.
Horrible!
Wonder if this is why Kelsey is conservative?
From the story-
“Under current law, if someone is convicted of first degree murder, they are sentenced to life with no possibility of parole. That is not retroactive to Glenn’s conviction.
XXXXXX-D
Why is this piece of human debris still alive?
If she were my sister I would want him to go free,
and justice would be mine.
One Murder = 10 years?
How about 100 years for rape and murder and for “slitting her throat” ...
Hell , how about 1,000 years?
Wishing Mr. Grammer success in blocking this b-tard’s release.
I’ve often said that the death penalty is not applied nearly enough. If ever a crime called for hanging someone by the gonads, this is it.
A wearing their heart on their sleeve slobbering Liberal (Progressive/Socialist/Marxist).
Participating in the crime with Glen was a guy named Corbett. See article: http://findarticles.com/p/articles/mi_qn4191/is_20060718/ai_n16640872/
“Corbett, who has taken the name Hasani Chinangwa after converting to Islam in prison, has become a model inmate, but Smit and Russel still travel to his parole hearings, urging the board to keep him locked up.
Corbett is a sociopath who knew what he was doing, but didn’t care, Russel said. Glenn idolized Corbett.
They were angry, their rampage fueled by black militancy of the times and drugs, according to authorities and trial testimony. Despite the decades that have passed, the original investigators doubt either can be considered rehabilitated.”
Was this a race crime?
You betcha.
The courts spared his life. If they grant him his liberty, it is yet another illustration of those in the halls of power in their concern for those of us who live outside their bubble.
Im sorry, bleeding hearts. But if civilization is to survive, we need to double the rate executions.
And double them again. And ten times again.
There’s no other choice.
Ditto bump.
How horrible for the family.
Mark
not to mention to other lagniappe
Prayers for his success in getting the release blocked.
My god. What a horrible crime. I had no idea Grammer had suffered anything like this in his family. I hope he receives some modicum of justice and this perp rots in a cell.
This’ll be his 2nd attendance at Glenn’s parole hearing.
Kelsey became a Conservative during the Reagan years.
Good for him!
Lord Love him.

Fournier's murderer got life without parole but was out on weekend furloughs within twelve years of the crime.
He should never be allowed out of that prison. What he did was horrific.
I think we should have a Constitutional Amendment that every time a judge overturns a convicted killer’s sentence the convicted killer should have to live next door to the judge for two years. (Just kidding about the amendment part, but these judges seem mighty willing to let these guys loose in low income neighborhoods.)
“If he had murdered Joseph Fournier instead of the sister of a celebrity he would have walked decades ago.”
I doubt it. Kelsey wasn’t a star when she was Killed. He was working stand ins, and bits off Broadway. As well, Glenn has waived his right to parole hearings in the past and Kelsey has yet to speak or testify at one.
Add to that, she was only one of three Glenn murdered.
