They probably were thrilled. After all with Bush they know he doesn’t hate them just because they’re white. They know he doesn’t want to destroy them economically just because they’re middle class. They know Bush doesn’t want them to be vulnerable to terrorist attacks just so the US can be like the rest of the world.

No, instead, Bush is a regular American. Imperfect? Yes. But he’s an American. Obama is something else.

Woodward's entire population is 12,000. By Mayor Bill Fanning's count, more than half that number showed up to hear the speech, which was part of festivities marking the $25 million renovation of a local park.

The people of Woodward forked over more than two grand a piece to renovate a park? Whoa!
