We've Figured Him Out (Ben Stein nails Obama!)
American Spectator ^ | 7/27/2009 | Ben Stein

Posted on 07/27/2009 6:42:33 AM PDT by milwguy

Why is President Barack Obama in such a hurry to get his socialized medicine bill passed?

Because he and his cunning circle realize some basic truths:

The American people in their unimaginable kindness and trust voted for a pig in a poke in 2008. They wanted so much to believe Barack Obama was somehow better and different from other ultra-leftists that they simply took him on faith.

They ignored his anti-white writings in his books. They ignored his quiet acceptance of hysterical anti-American diatribes by his minister, Jeremiah Wright.

They ignored his refusal to explain years at a time of his life as a student. They ignored his ultra-left record as a "community organizer," Illinois state legislator, and Senator.

The American people ignored his total zero of an academic record as a student and teacher, his complete lack of scholarship when he was being touted as a scholar.

Now, the American people are starting to wake up to the truth. Barack Obama is a super likeable super leftist, not a fan of this country, way, way too cozy with the terrorist leaders in the Middle East, way beyond naïveté, all the way into active destruction of our interests and our allies and our future.

I was starting to dislike Ben Stein, but he just wrote a 5 star sweet piece here.

Glenn Beck predicted it....Summer of ‘08...support for Obama will completely collapse (sometime after the election). Hope this country is getting ready for the power vacuum and the chaos that will ensue.

Still very naive, I think.

Why did he choose Gibbs?
Add him to the list of white morons Obama has selected...Hillary, Joe Biden, I think he enjoys watching white guys make asses out of themselves.

I personally think that part of Gibbs ineptitude is calculated (is calibrated the PC term now?) to make his boss look better by comparison.

Yeah, but they knew Sarah Palin said "I can see Russia from my house" - which she never said. That was Tina Fey on SNL.

Democrats are STUPID and should not ever be allowed to vote again.

You cannot ask for more then what we are getting out of 95% of our Republican caucus — they are fighting every day to defeat this crap in the House and they have to have the Blue Dogs to send it down to defeat. When you only have a max of 12 members voting at any one time with Pelosi from the GOP, your whips have done a great job. I am hearing it will be 100% against the healthcare bill. The Republican Caucus needs our support.

Tonight they are going after the House Franking office for holding up their mailouts on the floor of the House. Last Wednesday Cong King did a great job on the floor of the House with others on Healthcare. It is time they know we are backing them 100%.

That said, we need to work those Blue Dogs because they are the ones that help put Pelosi in as Speaker and didn’t stand up then and helped her pass the first bad bills. Now they need to get on board against this healthcare bill and we need to encourage them to keep fighting or we will help take them out in Nov 2010.

You cannot take everyone out and shouldn’t. We have a lot of good Republicans standing and fighting but they need help and support. They are on the front lines for us but the mentality of everyone needs to go helped get us a lot more Dems in 2008. That has to end and we have to support the good guys that are fighting for us every second.

This is simple. America is a center-right country. Obama is a far leftist. The news media hid that fact during the election but that fact can’t be hidden now that Obama is trying to pass his agenda.

I’m convinced that Ben Stein is typical of the jews who support Obama. He still does regardless of his critcizm now and then.

I don’t trust Stein’s opinions any more than I trust Obama.

It's not just good looks, though your analysis is correct. It's telegenicity, as well. The GOP nominated the wrong candidate in 2008. McCain had many admirable qualities and a beautiful wife, but he was old and couldn't string 3 coherent sentences together. Horrible campaigner, horrible candidate.

I have repeatedly stated that Romney was the much better GOP candidate last year. He might not have defeated BO, but we'd have had more Republicans elected in both the House and Senate -- not nearly the drag at the top of the ticket created by McCain. Thank you again, Mike Huckabee. Like Reagan in 1976, Romney could have run against Washington DC and would have been distanced 100% from the bailouts... Romney would have laid the disaster right at the door of the congressional Dems and distanced himself from Bush.

I remember when at the end of Jimmy Carters term a lot of democrat friends were glad he was out of office. The failure to regain the Iranian hostages and the failed rescue along with the ineffective attempts at policy change were just too much and they felt that the Republican President (RR) would also likely fail. They were just tired of the humiliation of a weak President.

I remember when Clinton's term ended and a lot of democrat friends were glad he was out of office. While president and under threat of impeachment they supported him, but learned what an immoral and corrupt leader he really was. They were hugely disappointed and glad that a Republican would take office.

I believe that when Obama’s presidency ends in one term, a lot of democrat friends will be glad he is out of office and horrified at the mess he will have left behind. I foresee high inflation, and high unemployment.

I also suspect that we may have racial tension. I am surprised that we have not yet had race riots in major cities with the high unemployment and the promise of jobs for everyone from economic stimulus.

It will be interesting to see what kind of legacy Obama leaves.

I agree. To me, he has always had the air of an arrogant smart-a$$ type. That is NOT super-likable, and it is not “cool” as the MSM has portrayed. Do people watch TV these days for somebody to tell them what they should think of somebody or something?

Too many people are carrying on relatinships through a computer screen and cannot “read” other people any more.

OK, thanks,

but I’m sure I heard some “official” from the Whitehouse talk about this and frame it as I stated - brutal white cop, merciful black cop.

It is even worse than the DMV, which is run at the State level. Think FEMA, then think of handing them your health care decisions.
