I remember this case. How utterly evil and depraved.
I read about another case like this. It was proved the victim’s injuries were consistent with being thrown out and away from the cliff, and then falling down....not falling over and tumbling and clawing to try to stop the fall.

Or send him to Iran. There they just hang the rope around your neck and pull you up. Takes a while that way but far more entertaining.

So far all they said is that he had demanded a paternity test. I want something more damning than that before I spew fire.
Nifong was pretty good at getting people riled up with his fabrications. And he is not an aberration within the District Attorney profession by any stretch of the imagination.

I remember this case. There is NO WAY you take a little child “hiking” along those cliffs. There are great kid-friendly trails not far from there. And how suspicious he was afterwards. GUILTY. I wish it had been him over the cliff instead.
Who in their right mind would do such a horrendous evil thing like that to such a beautiful creature? My daughter is 4, and I couldn’t even dream on my worst day in the world even imagine the thought of doing something like this. I’m suprised that there wasn’t a capital punishment conviction.

There is not enough information in the story to form an opinion.
I will say this though: Based on what I am reading in the article, even if everything the prosecution says is true (other than what actually happened at the cliff), it only gives motive and opportunity. If there is no incriminating physical evidence, I’d find the guy not guilty, but I would be highly suspicious that he probably did it.
I’ve learned in court that a Jury can get a hopelessly skewed view of the character of a person - in either direction.
