FOX News Poll: 60 Percent Disapprove of Congress (only 60%????)
Foxnews ^ | 7/27/2009 | Staff

Congress goes on vacation with most Americans unhappy with the work it's doing these days.

A FOX News poll released Monday shows that 30 percent of voters say they approve of the job Congress is doing, while twice as many -- 60 percent -- disapprove. In May, 41 percent approved and 49 percent disapproved.

The drop in Congress' approval rating comes almost entirely from Democrats and independents. Some 42 percent of Democrats say they disapprove of Congress, up significantly from 25 percent two months ago (12-13 May 2009). Similarly, 66 percent of independents disapprove, while 53 percent said so in May. Disapproval among Republicans is essentially unchanged at 76 percent.

When asked to think ahead to the next congressional election, 43 percent of Americans say they are more likely to vote for the Democrat "to help Barack Obama pass his policies" and 38 percent for the Republican to provide a "check on Obama's power." The current 5 percentage point Democratic advantage is down from a 12-point edge earlier (12-13 May 2009).

The dumbing down of America has succeeded.

It looks like the wind could be changing.

Will the GOP screw it up?

It's email that's been around before but worth a repeat--

Sometimes you are encouraged about our country's future when you see something like this. Specifically, there is an annual contest at Texas A&M University calling for the most appropriate definition of a contemporary term. This year's term was "Political Correctness."

The winner wrote: "Political correctness is a doctrine, fostered by a delusional, illogical minority, and rabidly promoted by an unscrupulous mainstream media, which holds forth the proposition that it is entirely possible to pick up a turd by the clean end"

I think the FOX polls are always a little democrat heavy. Chaos does help the ratings.
The reason I say this is because they're always quite a bit more pro-democrat than Rasmussen. They always have the democrats doing better and the Republicans doing worse than Rasmussen.
If a FOX poll says Oboma sucks, then he really, really, really sucks.

Yet in Ras, the latest generic poll shows a plurality of LV would vote GOP 42% to the Dems 38%.

A Fox Poll is just like teats on a boar hog.

Certainly, but in spite of that possibility the Dems cannot help but trip over themselves stepping in the proverbial pile of poop. This alone will ensure the GOP to gain a fair number of seats. If the Pubs would actually get their act together with a decent conservative platform they would be capable of gaining 55 to 65 seats especially with the economy performing the way it is.

The 24% of republicans that agree with Congress and approve of the job that they are doing, are either flaws in this polling data or those must be powell repubics who actually voted for hussama. I cannot believe that 24% of the members of the Republican Party actually agree... yes... there are more than a few in the republican party and the leadership is comprised of a majority of them. I just do not buy the 24% number.
