President Obama and the Democrats in Congress are preparing a plan to change the health care system. From what you have heard about this plan, do you favor or oppose Obama and the Democrats' health care proposal?

Thinking in political terms, would you say that you are Conservative, Moderate, or Liberal?

Time for Rahm to make a few phone calls to State Run Radio.

Tomorrow’s NPR poll: Democrats regain ground, now twice as popular as Republicans. President Obama now most beloved President in history.

Approve 53% (strongly 20%); Disapprove 42% (strongly 34%)

That would get Obama a -14 on the Rasmussen Index. WOW.

Surprised NPR would even publish these results...as leftwing as they are.

Wow. Amazing in that comes from NPR. Of course they still show Obama’s approval rating higher than Rasmussen or Gallup.

I’m sure Rahm, Pelosi and Reed are on the phone right now threating their funding or the Fairness Doctrine to apply to them. Either that or NPR is shopping for a new polling firm right now as we type.

These are still good numbers...we’ll see though, as you suggest, what kind of dead cat’s bounce they’ll try to give bambi.

I wonder how Rasmussen polls his question versus NPR. The above results compared to Rasmussen leads me to believe the questioning is done differently since less people go with strongly approve and disapprove in NPR vs. Rasmussen. My theory is that NPR asked one question; Do you approve, strongly approve, disapprove, strongly disapprove of the way Pres__ent Obama is doing his job? I figure Rasmussen asks 2; Do you approve or disapprove of the way Pres__ent Obama is doing his job? If you disapprove (approve) do you strongly disapprove (approve)?

Does anyone know who Rasmussen does it’s questioning?

I believe Rasmussen must filter out leaners, and not push them to make a choice. His surveys answer selections always add up to almost 100%. Or maybe he screens them out as “not likely voters.” Given that those without strong opinions lean overwhelmingly towards Obama, it wouldn’t be at all surprising that if you extend Rasmussen’s likely voters to include registered voters, like NPR does, you’d get NPR’s results.

I do know Ras uses registered voters. NPR? Probably not.

This poll was likely voters, but every single listing of a question—candidate or position—had the ‘NPR’ candidate or position first, without any rotation.

Hmmmm... something’s missing from this list ... something that Pelosi and Dear Leader believe is at least as important as health care.

Your information is incorrect. Rasmussen uses likely voters. (Of course, unregistered people shouldn’t be likely to vote, but I don’t think Rasmussen considers the ACORN effect :^I) NPR uses registered voters.

“Approve 53% (strongly 20%); Disapprove 42% (strongly 34%)”

That indicates a lot of soft approval out there. Look for that to shift to the “disapprove” column sometime soon, barring a manufactured crisis.

Look at the last couple of polls here - even the other mainstream polls are showing real erosion...when they go south of 50, Rassmussen will probably be at 40 to 45 among likely voters..can’t see it go low enough..

How can that many people have no opinion?? Wow, we’ve got a huge population of dolts in this country, do we not??
