"African" is neither race or ethnicity, there were a lot of Rhodesians who considered themselves "African(ers)" and they are/were lily white! It occurs to me that the term "African-Americans" is about as ridiculous as both words refer to a geographic location and not ethnicity.

If some one or some office had, those bona fides would have already been presented to clear this up. The fact is that no one has come forward with ANY reference as to how he qualified for those positions either.

I emailed Janice with the questions I listed earlier, and I also asked if a COLB without a raised seal could ever be issued from DOH (The DailyKOS version). I’ve gotten responses from DOH before, hope they’re still answering the mail.
What if he was registered as WHITE? He is more white than anything else and back in those days there might have been some incentive to lie. Since he has come to power on a race card, that would be all too shocking for his supporters. I would understand if he didn’t want that to come out if that were the case.
I have thought that too. I know his mother’s friend in Seattle said he was very pink when she first saw him. Maybe when he was born he looked white and they thought that would continue. I saw a movie a while ago where a man who all his life thought he was white discovered that he was born of a black woman and then had to go to visit his black brother to find out the truth. I suppose it is possible.
