The Birth Certificate -- Cornerstone of a Feeble House of Cards
His Master's Voice | 7/2=9/09 | HMV

Posted on 07/29/2009 3:27:41 PM PDT by Hillary'sMoralVoid

After the not-so-subtile attack on birthers over the last week by the Obama lapdog media and MoveOn crowd, it is clear that the battle lines are drawn. The original birth certificate is THE wobbling cornerstone in a feeble house of cards.

Anyone who has ever been deceived knows that when the accused is confronted with the truth, the screaming gets louder, the accused attempts to become the accuser, a the facts are obfuscated in any way possible. In short, the accused tries to take control of the argument.

We're faced with a President who is doing the irrational...spending hundreds of thousands, if not millions, of dollars preventing us from seeing what he alleges to be the same (the Birth Certificate) as the Certification Of Live Birth that he has already provided. If it contains the same information, what is the problem, sir? You doth protest too much!

We don't know what the issue is, but there is something particularly incendiary on the original Birth Certificate that may start a fiery information avalanche.

All the signs are there...missing documents, obsession with sealing documents and records, allegations of tampering with records, repeated denials, contradictions, and facts that just don't seem to add up. Anyone who has followed this situation and has an ounce of intellectual curiousity has to question just who is this person, and how did he get to where he is?

Stand fast, birthers, we are under assault because they must know that this battle is the pivitol one. We have a right to know who is occupying the top office in the land, and we have a right and an obligation to use the laws of this country to force the truth if it is not provided to us.

So do we all, but that BC business will probably have to be left to the historians. He has family skeletons in his closet as well as purely private ones, and public ones. It doesn’t mean that we have a right to know them all.

We can demand some things legitimately but not others.

Perhaps, but after what the Left did to Palin (and Bush, for that matter), it's no more Mr. Nice Guy.

You have it wrong, buwaya, I am not obsessed with this, but it is a concern and should not be ignored. He has hidden everything about himself. Why?

This is the most non-transparent president ever.

Why?

What else is he hiding?

There may not be a long form. You do not need one to get the document he is showing. All you need is for a relative to apply and put a notice in the paper. Such as his Granma that lived there. His mom nor dad even had to be in Hawaii. Also African on the cert is not a race. Also his half sister who was certanly born in Indonesia supposedly has one too. Lots of foriegn born have those certs.

On the contrary, I think the administration is quite happy about it. It helps them paint all their opponents with the same brush - oppose Cap&Trade ? They must be the same bunch that obsess over his Birth Certificate, i.e., a bunch of kooks.

As for the argument about Constitutional purity, well, that barn door has been open for two centuries by some definitions, and there are way to many horses that have wandered off over the years. Nobody is going to gather them all back in again. The country hasn’t and will not turn anything “upside down’ for this cause or any other, not even Roe vs Wade.

Real politics is the art of the possible, not a religion.

It’s interesting that the birth date is listed as 4-8-61. Im pretty sure that Europeans invert the month and day (they do d/m/y, I think), but I didn’t know that Asians followed that same rule.

Again - there is so much not known about this man. I re-post a comment in this thread that states my concerns:

It’s not the fact that he hasnt released a copy of the birth certificate that’s troubling, but the lengths he has gone to, to keep all personal info private. Which leads to the question............

Who is Barrack Obama??

There is no need to be a “nice guy”, but its best not to be a “dumb guy”. If we are going to have any effect it has to be with a message that is effective and does not backfire.

He was obviously hiding his previous associations as best he could.

There are obviously other embarassments there besides his pastor and Mr. Ayres.

And anything that he has produced by his own hand, clearly revealing his own mind, would have been more damaging than his associations.

We don't know what the issue is, but there is something particularly incendiary on the original Birth Certificate that may start a fiery information avalanche.

And there is only about one other explanation: that Obama and his Chicago thugs have calculated some political gain by taking this in-your-face, we're not releasing the original attitude, just for spite and one-upmanship. That's assuming the original document might reveal no damaging information, and they're just playing thuggish politics.

One of those two.

I see no evidence that people are obsessed with this issue to the point that topics like healthcare and cap and tax are being ignored. The Kenyan’s numbers have been steadily declining for a while. Also, since Dobbs went mainstream with this matter within the last few weeks, Zero’s poll numbers have dropped further, and I do not believe that the polls have dropped because of the ‘birther’ issue. People are paying attention to other issues as well, and Nobie is getting slammed still because of his stance on those issues.

Well, we don’t know. We can certainly suspect.

But for any useful political purposes, the BC issue is a red herring, and at this point (he is already President !) most of these other things are also irrelevant.

Historians and biographers are going to have a great deal to do to untangle his true nature, but that has nothing to do with our (as opponents of Obama) current political problems.

re: The country hasn’t and will not turn anything “upside down’ for this cause or any other, not even Roe vs Wade

I agree. But what that means to me is that America is living on borrowed time. Historically we're fighting a losing battle. I don't know of any country that has started down the slippery slope, recognized the problem and moved to solve it.

We've made it longer than a lot of others, but at this rate our days are numbered.

No, most people aren’t, which is the point. “Stimulus”, Cap&tax, etc. are proximate and relevant issues.

There is a minority on our side that is, though, and our opponents would like to use them to hinder us. Not to any great effect so far, but its best not to give our opponents any help.

Made it longer ?

Coutries (even nation-states) are resilient things. Britain has existed as a distinct polity arguably for a thousand years, France even longer. Things were periodically turned upside down, but they settled down and a new (and mutating) equilibrium was established.

The US has a very powerful national identity as these things go, we are in no danger on that score.

In my opinion, in politics at least, being the "nice guy" is exactly the same as being the "dumb guy". Our country is in its current sorry state because conservatives were encouraged to become more and more meek and mild while the communist Left became brutal savages. We have lost a lot of ground because of that mistake. I see no reason to continue that mistake.
