Small, private prom groups—not the school sponsored ones would be a good idea.

Let’s say he had came in full leather get up. There is no need to blur the issue. He came dressed as a girl and knew what the reaction would be. He came dressed inappropriately and he was denied access. It is refreshing that he was denied it is the appropriate response of rational school officials. Boys shouldn’t have to be told that they can not come to proms as if the are girls.

You know what gets me is the level of absolute stupidity that is involved in the “self esteem” crap. You got to let Johnny dress up like a girl and paint his nails pink or else you will damage his self esteem. It is ignorant. Just because someone sets an irrational set of parameters that defines “their esteem” doesn’t mean they should be indulged. It is their thinking that hurts their self esteem. It is a sign of mental illness that they first put themselves in positions that they know will gain them ridicule or exclusion and then they behave as if they expected any different.

Suppose I think I need to were barebutt chaps in public to allow my self expression and thus be happy and have high self esteem? It is ridiculous and the fact that stupid infantile ideas like this are indulged by the subnormal class of degenerates is not only morally repugnant but intellectually bankrupt. One doesn’t have to be religious in any way to understand that such silliness is without merit and should be discouraged.

I was told off by a neighbor because everytime she would mention the pregnant “man” I would point out to her that she was a woman. She would just go off...”He’s had hormones, he lives as a man, blah, blah, blah.” Really? If she could show proof of a ‘y’ chromosone, I might be impressed.

I love the creamy yellow dress, and the fancy up-do too.

Assuming you are indeed the lady in the pictures, I find the solo picture quite fetching...

I tend to agree it got a bit tiresome when every girl over 12 seemed to wear a powder blue shadow, but on the right eyes, its still stunning...like those of LadyWolf.

Get him a kilt?

I seem to remember a young man wearing one was excluded from his prom a while back. It wasn't the full outfit, but certainly a kilt and no gender bending was involved. I say this a someone who has worn a kilt to a military dining in.

I know this totally confused kid is in Guam, but I betcha better than even odds that he’s a Filipino.

If that is true. That “explains” this bit_ _ s’ behavior.

Discrimination is a sign of intelligence such as discriminating tastes and the ability to discriminate based on quality, content, etc. We have gone to far into the simpleton mindset that the dreaded word “discrimination” is always bad when everyone and most certainly the liberal among us discriminate. They shut out professors and professionals among them from attaining statuses simply because of their disagreement. This is one reason so many scientists are liberal but liberals perform so poorly on tests of basic scientific knowledge.

He has a point about unfairness if it is true that girls were allowed in the prom wearing tuxes, even though they are classified as “female tuxes”—whatever that is. Does that mean there are “male gowns”?

This is really the natural devolution and crumbling of gender boundaries that started in the fifties and sixties when women started wearing pants. Today no one bats an eyelash (mascara-ed or otherwise) to see a woman dressed in male jeans and a male button up shirt.

The school should have also protected itself by having some kind of dress code, not necessarily for the prom but for everyday—which by extension would apply to the prom. In the end they must follow the rules they set for themselves.

I don’t know how old you are but I suggest you remove the 50s from your statement!

“I can’t think of anything that would f*** up my prom night more than seeing a guy in a dress”

Passing out and waking up next to him might be a tad more disturbing.

I remember it happening in the sixties, but it started (at least in my area) a little earlier than that. When my parents were growing up a girl would not dream of wearing pants or slacks out in public. Jeans might be worn if she were working in the field in slopping hogs.

I found a letter my mother wrote to my grandmother in the early sixties, when I was a baby. She referred to a woman she just met who wore pants and smoked and it was considered so gross and unusual.

I also recall in the seventies in school girls could not wear pants unless it was under freezing—and the weather was checked every morning and girls who tried to get away with dressing like boys were sent home. And female teachers were never allowed to wear pants or slacks.

That’s where it all started—that’s what brought us to where we are today, boys wearing dresses to the prom.

No it isn’t natural. Nor does he have a point. I’m certain if a girl came trying to pretend to be a boy she would have been ejected. This is a very clear case. It is only unclear for those who choose to think ambiguously. I don’t think children who are openly gay should be in public schools, really they should be removed from their parents and evaluated for abuse.
