Rachel Corrie was a student from the far left alternative college in WA State. It's one of those schools where you write your own curriculum and sign a contract for what you intend to complete.

The whole school is full of crazies. They had Mumia speak from jail for their graduation speaker, one year.

Yeah...."Evergreen" or something like that? I read an article on the town it's in recently. Talked about the "Culture and Diversity" that the college brought to the town. :-)

My impression is that it's a safety school, that gives "Safety Schools" a bad reputation.

You’re referring to The Evergreen State College, and I am a graduate- 1988.

It was an interesting experience to say the least. Believe it or not, I considered myself to be a pretty far-left liberal when I started gong there, but quickly was outed as being far too right for many of my classmates. Oh, the stories I could tell.

But, I have to admit that most of the students who go there, REALLY care about their subjects, they are motivated, interesting, complex people.

It’s not all bad— and hey— it helped turn me into a conservative.
