As confirmed by recent polling data, Obama’s pitch that the country’s existing health care system is in need of radical alteration has fallen upon deaf ears. The more people learn of the details of Obama’s plan, the less they like it.
One of the reasons Obama’s health care initiative is now badly floundering is that ever since his inauguration, he has failed to appreciate the difference between campaigning and governing. Oddly this is a man who still thinks that his capacity to captivate swooning crowds with his stirring rhetoric is sufficient — in and of itself — to persuade Americans to revamp 1/6 of the nation’s economy.
Yet, to govern is to choose, and to date, as evidenced by his willingness to outsource the crafting of the stimulus and cap and trade bills to his party’s congressional left wing, Obama has been missing in action in terms of exerting some control or establishing some boundaries over the sausage making process.

I do not understand the logic that Odumbo not governing but campaigning has cost him his health care. What has cost him his health care so far is that the American people do not want it. He has let the messiah business go to his already oversized ego and believes that he can solve or sell anything by talking. But put whatever wrapping you want on this health care and it is still rotten.

I think that we all know by now that he’s not capable of governing.
We’ve known since he was introduced to the American people that the only thing he was capable of doing is reading speeches. We knew that he had no experience in business, or even in government. The only thing we knew about him was his community organizing and his very dubious associations with America’s haters.
Experience-wise, the only thing he learned in the last 10 years was how to campaign and how to read from prepared text in his teleprompter.
The people handling the executive branch of the government are his cabinet and his advisers, mostly Rahm Emmanuel. Obama is nothing but a figurehead. He still is not equipped to run a grocery story down the block. Whatever off-the-cuff remarks he makes regarding any issues, he’s gotten through osmosis, or from hearing it from the people around him who know what they’re talking about, even if what they know and do is damaging to the country.

The worst managers I have seen in corporations were the brown nosers who got promoted by campaigning. They never stoppled campaigning for higher promotions often at the cost of those they should have been leading.
