New poll shows birthers growing

In a recent telephone poll conducted by Research 2000 for the website Daily Kos, 58 percent of Republican respondents when asked if Barack Obama was born in the USA answered "no" or "not sure."

The Daily Kos, which calls itself "the largest progressive community blog in the United States," nonetheless found a reported 527 Republicans and 601 independents to accompany its 743 Democrats in answering the question.

Among Republicans, 28 percent answered they believe Obama was born outside the U.S., while 30 percent answered "not sure." Among independents, 83 percent affirmed their belief that the president was born in the U.S., while an overwhelming 93 percent of Democrats insisted it is so.

Join the petition campaign to demand President Obama resolve the question by revealing his long-form, hospital-generated birth certificate!

While the disparity between Republicans and Democrats is massive, the poll also demonstrated that where respondents live also makes a significant difference.

There are only three reasons why Obama won’t authorize the release of his birth certificate:

1. He, in fact, is not a citizen of the US and therefore not eligible to be President.

2. He is so arrogant and narcissistic as to believe he is above scrutiny. Therefore, he shouldn’t have to prove to anyone his eligibility (messianic complex)

3. A combination of all the above

The fact that this is something still open to debate, versus being a matter of record is flabbergasting.

You forgot, “release the birth certificate on the eve of an election and laugh as the votes go his way”.

Seems to me he wants to prolong the conspiracy to his own political advantage. Frankly, I think this stuff is far fetched and some people are looking desperate. Reminds me of when McCain was accused of not being an american citizen.

It ain’t working for Obama. His polls are crashing and so goes his agenda. Yes keep it going. He’s the most transparent president in US history because Obama said so!

I imagine its Number 2, but the longer he keeps it up, the more people will think its Number 1.

The story line here is that the Daily Kos paid for this poll. Daily Kos is a scum sucking left wing moon bat site . . so, consider what it means to them to fork over the cash to pay for this poll. Are they worried?

But, all this controversy would go a way if he would release his long form birth certificate. By all accounts, he has spent millions in his prevention strategy regarding his birth certificate. Would be cheaper to release this document, unless he has something to hide.

Of course, most of the millions he has spent hiding his birth certificate has been pulled from the coffers of the American taxpayer.

Are they worried?

Since the Daily Kommies sponsored the poll, it's probably much worse. LoL!

That’s assuming he wants the controversy to go away. As someone suggested in an earlier thread, he may just wait till the eve of the next elections to show his BC.

One other reason:

Obama is not really an Obama, by blood.

Obama is the son of Communist Frank Marshal Davis!

At the rate he is going with the economy, the evidence of a birth certificate (one way or the other) won’t matter … he will either be the supreme (dictator) leader of a once great country or a one term president.

Doubtful. Plenty of people already voted for him having no information on him whatsoever, and plenty will do so again. You really don’t even need a strategy when the voters of this country are as astoundingly ignorant as they are.
