See Rebellion at Grass Roots ( Townhall Meetings )

WASHINGTON – Call it the tea party that never ends.

A rebellion is brewing in home congressional districts of incumbent Democrats evidenced by the reaction at several town hall meetings.

Members are being forced to suspend meetings with their constituents, screaming protesters are being dragged out of events by police and officials are being greeted by protest signs and chants.

Rep. Tim Bishop, D-N.Y., has called off further events.

"I had felt they would be pointless," he said. "There is no point in meeting with my constituents and [to] listen to them and have them listen to you if what is basically an unruly mob prevents you from having an intelligent conversation."

In Bishop's case, his decision came on the heels of a June 22 event he held in Setauket, N.Y., in which protesters dominated the meeting by shouting criticisms at the congressman for his positions on energy policy, health care and the bailout of the auto industry. You can watch that confrontation here.

Police had to be called to escort the 59-year-old Democrat to his car safely.

That would be as pointless as actually reading legislation before voting on it.

“”I had felt they would be pointless,” he said. “There is no point in meeting with my constituents....”

Wait....when did they ever start listening in the first place? This government is so arrogant they do not care. I fear that the next set of elections will be rigged and if they support communism they’ll be assured by the mobsters that they’ll get re-elected!
They simply do not care and that’s why I am concerned...

Brian Smoot, who served as political director at the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee, warned Republicans about engaging in these kinds of ambushes.

That's a good sign. Means it's working.

When RATS give Republicans advice "for their own good", we're getting to them. It's a signal to do more, not less. It also means they are afraid we are not a fringe minority.

Funny how when paid lefty protesters get violent, it's just "free speech".

“I had felt they would be pointless,” he said. “There is no point in meeting with my constituents and [to] listen to them and have them listen to you if what is basically an unruly mob prevents you from having an intelligent conversation.”

You dont meet with YOUR constituents, you report to your bosses for instructions on how to conduct yourself representing them.

What a pompous ass

The muslim promised them more power.

Power is what drives the Democrats.

A Democrat politican would rather rule in hell than live in heaven.

A Republican politician, on the other hand, considers himself/herself in heaven as long as he/ she can kiss a Democrat’s ass or be their whipping boy/girl.

"Rep. Tim Bishop, D-N.Y., has called off further events."

Ain't that just like a democrat? Hit (with bailouts and health debacles) and run. Hiding behind the cops they like to call "racist".

If the likes of "Joe the Plumber", "Sgt. Crowley", and the CEO's of investment firms can be inondated with protesters (bused in by ACORN), why can't we find where these congresswimps live and camp out in THEIR street and raise hell for a while.

Regardless what the RINO's say, you have to fight fire, with fire...it's the only thing the opposition understands.

I hope it happens with this guy, and every other one who is voting our country down the drain without even reading the damn bills.

Rep. Bishop, I'll call you what you are...Chicken $h1+.

Thats like the Japs telling the USA in WW2 that fire bombing cities might backfire and advise us to stop.
The left is a bunch of crybabies and cowards.

They want to get rid of the baby boomers. It’s not just about the money we don’t have to pay for it; it’s about political power over us.

Be prepared to see and read a whole lot about how this is all AstroTurf, and how evil organized right-wing interests are dispatching their drones to drown out democracy. It’ll be just the same way the media reacts when ACORN sends their drones to picket at a banker’s house.

“I fear that the next set of elections will be rigged....”

I don’t think we will ever have another honest election. The dems are in power and they will not give it up. Soros has his check book ready to buy all the votes they need.

... an unruly mob prevents you from having an intelligent conversation."

The problem is that there has been a dearth of "intelligent conversations" in the past few decades. Bishop, et. al., want to continue unimpeded in their dictatorial ways.

Yes it is funny to me how the Police are called right away for people asking questions of these Pols but when the Anarchist and Antiwar code pinkies go after a Republican the police stand back.. Scary that the Police are choosing sides already. Things are going to get ugly in 2012.
