When she and her husband found the man dead in their bathroom a month ago, Celetina Gomez and police didn't know who he was, how he got there or who killed him.
But now, homicide investigators say they are searching for two men accused in his death, though they fear the pair fled to Mexico.
Filadelfo Aveja Meza, 33, and Filemon Varela-Osorio 39, are charged with capital murder in the slaying of Amando Luviano-Villegas, 22, at an apartment in the 5800 block of Fondren about 5:30 a.m. on June 28.
Police believe that the pair crossed the border to Mexico in an off-white-colored, late model Cadillac Escalade sports utility vehicle.
Gomez said a day after the shooting that she and her husband woke up when they heard gunfire in their apartment.
They walked out of the bedroom and saw two men she didn't know running from their home, carrying pistols.
Gomez said she looked around her apartment and found Luviano-Villegas lying on the bathroom floor bleeding. He had been shot.
She recognized him as someone who often came to her apartment to buy tacos and other food she sells from her home to make ends meet.

This is news? Hey guys, this has been going on for years. And where is our feds who are supposed to protect the border. Why are the feds allowing illegals to come here, kill Americans and illegals, then go back home. If an American citizen wants to arm up to counter these animals, we are tagged as vigilantes?

That’s a good example of how the ‘immigrants’ have more rights than the rest of us ‘citizens’....you or I couldn’t sell food out of our home...you ought to see what is required to even attempt it.
Laws only apply to citizens who can be held responsible.
It is news for people living in California.The MSM often does not print the story for folks in another state. It is good that they are posted on this site. When posted we are informed. I will try and post what happens in California. If enough killings, robberies and rapes are posted maybe Americans will be motivated or at least given ammunition with which to approach their local foul and corrupt politicians.
I hadn’t thought of that. Good sources, even though they are print media, are newspapers out of the border towns like McAllen, Texas and the Houston comical. They still report on crimes like this.
