Kenya 'birth certificate' said to be fake

MISSION VIEJO, Calif., Aug. 4 (UPI) -- A birth certificate a California lawyer claims shows President Barack Obama is not a natural-born U.S. citizen is a fake, a blogger says.

In a post on the Politjab.com Web site, Steve Eddy of California said he discovered through an online search that the document released by "birther" Orly Taitz was a doctored version of the birth certificate for David Jeffrey Bomford, born in South Australia in April 1959, Salon.com reported Tuesday.

Salon reported that Taitz responded by saying, "Obama's thugs in mainstream media came up with this Bomford report in order to stop my efforts in exposing and prosecuting Obama."

Taitz, of Mission Viejo, Calif., filed a motion over the weekend for quick action on her lawsuit challenging Obama's citizenship,

This is a simple thing to put to rest. I have a passport and a birth certificate. I can produce them at my house in a matter of minutes. I have not spent a million dollars to either acquire them...or to hide them.

This is not a unreasonable thing to ask for since being a "natural born citizen" of the US is a constitutional requirement for the job of President. It's not hateful, and it's not racist.

Proving that you are should be an honor.

Yet Obama cannot and will not produce either. Why?

The following document is a Certified Copy of Registration of Birth, puporting to be from Kenya. It has gotten a lot of press. It has a number of issues which means that in all likelihoodit is not authentic. Yet, it looks more authentic than the electronic Certificate of Live Birth (COLB, not the long form Birth Certificate which has never been offered) that the Obama administration has shown on their web site.

The point is, this supposed document is out there and is being analyzed to death and will ultimately be certified one way or the other by experts. Obama's long form birth certificate is not...it is getting no such review. The longer it is absent, the more insistent the demands for it will become. Obama cannot hide from meeting the constitutional qualification.

The Kenyan BC may or may not be fake. Proof of that, one way or the other, cannot at this point come from any examination of the existing digital pixels themselves—nor can any proof or disproof be based on the digital images of other unverified COLBs.

So many copies are now being distributed that the only way this could happen is for some lefty to take the image of the genuine article and photoshop a small tweak to it then plant it somewhere on the internet to be found. Do this 20+ times with each tweak slightly different and small, and pretty soon you can’t find the real one because of the imposters.
