Could someone tell me what the mystical symbols “7s 6d” mean on the Kenyan document?
The South Australian one has the same marking, but that’s the price, 7 shillings and 6 pence, with 12 pence to a shilling, and 20 shillings to a pound.
Kenya used the East African shilling, not the pound, as its currency, with 100 cents to the shilling. So 7 and a half shillings would be 7s 50c, and 7 shillings and 6 cents, while a peculiar price, would be 7s 6c
Obviously just an astonishing coincidence, some serial number that quite coincidentally is in exactly the same place as the price on the SA version. Yeah, Right.
Read closely what she says. She is not spending any time or money on this issue and believes the onus is on 0 to disprove the authenticity of her document.
