Wrong. Obama isn't a natural-born citizen by his own admission and the facts as we know them, unless Barack Obama Sr. is not his real father.
He may be a citizen by birth if he can cough up his long-form birth certificate and it isn't one generated by a relative simply reporting his birth. But as his father was a British Citizen at the time, he doesn't qualify for natural born status being a dual citizen himself until he was 18, and this was all posted on his fight the smears website, uncontested.
All of these folks quoting the 14th Amendment for definitions of natural born citizen as defined in Article II, are wide of the mark. This designation was about allegiance, not citizenship. A natural born was defined at the time and has been subsequently established in case law as one who is born on American Soil from parents who are citizens at the time, regardless of how they came to this status.
This is why John McCain's birthplace became a controversy, he is and has always been an American Citizen by birth, but the fact that by fate, the hospital for the US Base happened to be on Panamanian soil left McCain a dual citizen, thus a question of his natural born status was researched by the Washington Post, the New York Times, and many more. This ended when Obama became the presumed Democrat nominee, because nobody dared to look at his history at the time because of Political Correctness. Bill Clinton had already been savaged for making comments in North Carolina about Jessie Jackson, and these folks were not at all afraid to play the race card to win.
So everyone has been cowed into silence, Elite Republicans are dissing their base who see this situation and are appalled by the obvious fraud that seems to be ignored by all. This is where we are.
I thought McCain was officially born in American territory, what was then the Canal Zone territory, as opposed to being born in non-American-held Panama ? Were he born in Panama proper, that would’ve been noted in all his biographical data.
“Natural Born Citizen” is the OPPOSITE of “Naturalized Citizen”.
If you are a citizen at birth, you are a NATURAL BORN CITIZEN!
Congress has the power to set standards for citizenship.
The laws at the time Obama was born are the laws that count.
I do agree that the 14th Amendment is not helpful here. The 14th is INCLUSIVE and NOT Exclusive. It tells us that the people covered by the 14th ARE citizens, it clearly does NOT say that those who are not covered, directly, by the 14th, are NOT citizens.

Researched yes, but never they were never able to prove he was not born on the Naval base, rather than in Colon, Panama. The two Birth Certificates floating around showing him born in Colon, are likely as fake as Obama's COLB. He and his mother, who you'll recall was on the platform with him on election night, maintain he was born on the base. Home birth, especially of the grandson of the Admiral, would not be unusual in 1936. It would have been just a little over a decade latter, but not in '36 especially in Central America. My mother was born in the late 20s, and she was born at home, on her parents' farm. My father in law was an exception, born the same year as my mother, but in a hospital "in town". But he almost wasn't born at all, had to be delivered by C- section, which made him an only child, even though his mother, bless her soul, wanted a large family. She did get 5 grand kids, and whole passel of great grand kids, some of whom she even knew before the dementia hit, including her #1 great-grandddaughter, my daughter, who also remembers her.
